look at the mediaeval window in the choir. The tourist office is just round the corner. You can take a little tourist train from there.

Tucked away at the end of a street and hidden from view by city structures, this Romanesque and Gothic cathedral was suddenly in view and definitely worth a stop. The tympanum, the stained glass which dates from about 1215, the nave and the flying buttresses...More

This is a stunning building and should not be missed when visiting Bourges. There is currently essential work being undertaken but this did not affect the experience.

Stunning, impressive and relatively unknown, if not underated, this cathédral suffers from its location in Bourges, in central France. The facade is as rich as Reims cathedral, and the inside is magnificent. Lovely period stain glass Windows and the historic organ sounds perfectly.

Simple breathtaking, just beautiful and majestic. We were in awe at this cathedral’s grandeur, and I especially loved the stain glass windows!

As good as the more famous cathedrals in France. Wonderful stone carvings on exterior, flying buttresses. Undergoing some renovation at present so a bit of scaffolding. Fab archbishops gardens behind it. Lovely.
