The Royal Chateau of Blois is your gateway into the Val de Loire. The Royal Chateau of Blois is the first important place to discover as you come from Paris. It is a true synthesis of the art and history of the Loire Valley chateaux, and makes it an ideal introduction for your visit. The rich architecture of the four different wings echoes the diversity of styles of the many chateaux built in the Loire Valley from the Middle Ages to the 17th Century.

Looks fastastic from the outside and is even better inside. Not too busy when you are walking round even for August. Look out for the House of Magic which is opposite the Chateau entrance where dragons appear from the windows. The kids will love it.

Last time in Blois we only looked in the gates and were disappointed not to go in, so decided to look. We used the underground car park nearest to the chateau which was clean, had a lift and was easily accessible to the chateau. Tickets are not overly expensive and it is possible to buy a combination ticket to visit... More

Another Chateau, another day. It's cool and a must see if visiting Blois. Best part is the staircase and the art.

I did not have an entrance ticket for the chateaux as I was short of time, but the courtyard was lovely, wonderful architecture. Plenty of activity going on and entertainment for children.

We spent the night at the castle for the night show and we were enthusiast The history of how it was built in three different phases and the years around Caterina de'Medici - Henry III and the French internal wars are narrated by projecting the scenes on the castle's walls. The story is narrated in French so buy the audioguide... More

A unique chateau that will take you back over five centuries of French history. Most interesting visit, do not hesitate to wait for a (very professional) guided tour. Your entrance ticket is valid for two days so you can split visit and manage time on site at leisure. In-house coffee shop highly recommended for the fine quality of cakes on... More

Impressive castle that is loaded with French history. The leaflet that you receive upon buying your ticket is a real help to guide you through the castle and contains the essential information about what you're seeing on the tour.

We enjoyed our visit thanks to good weather and an interesting presentation by Simon. You could easily see the different periods of construction and it was interesting to learn about figures like Gaston d'Orléans who for some reason, thought it would be good to destroy part of François I's masterpiece in order to build another building that he would never...
