The Royal Chateau of Blois is your gateway into the Val de Loire. The Royal Chateau of Blois is the first important place to discover as you come from Paris. It is a true synthesis of the art and history of the Loire Valley chateaux, and makes it an ideal introduction for your visit. The rich architecture of the four different wings echoes the diversity of styles of the many chateaux built in the Loire Valley from the Middle Ages to the 17th Century.

The chateau was nice to visit, would have like to see more of the rooms with furnishings. Our favorite activity was renting bikes and going around the property. Even saw some wild boar in the forest.

This Chateau is so interesting and beautiful to walk through. I definitely recommend picking up and audio guide for €4, the commentary is wonderful and it walks you through every room. It only highlights a few paintings in the fine arts museum, but that is fine with me. I love history and there is an obvious progression of architecture here.... More

Visited the Chateau Royal with my wife while on a touring holiday. Well worth the 10 Euros we both paid. There are lots of unusual things to see. A real insight into how the French Royals lived hundreds of years ago.

Great chateau with outstanding architectural features. Interesting exhibits and very easy to follow the free map and guide throughout. Excellent joint ticket prices with musee de magic across the courtyard.

4 architectural period come together in this one castle. The interiors are real treasures for renaissance wall and floor finishes as well as for furniture and fireplaces. Very inspiring for interior designers!

This castle is very interesting because of its different parts from different periods. As a French loving History I would highly recommend this chateau. To get the best experience, follow a guide (free) and he or she will tell you all the secrets of that wonderful place. Don't forget to take a nice picture of all the town from there,... More

This chateau was surprising for 2 reasons. Firstly, it turned out to be one of the two in the whole Loire Valley that were actually worth visiting. Secondly, it was full of information and exhibits that brought the history of the chateau to life. In each room were explanations on what room it was, what it was used for, who... More

We took a guided walking tour of the Chateau in Blois which is quite impressive and contains a lot of history. We recommend touring it if in the area.

An interesting chateau with long history. As with a lot of these buildings I sometimes think the outside is more interesting than the inside and the residents even more so. Definitely worth a visit.
