The castle in itself is nice but you are there for Leonardo and his work. Inside the castle nice room with his terrific invention as well as in the garden. Good idea to bring your own picnic and enjoy the magnificient garden for a break....More

Excellent, very interesting and informative. Da Vinci's designs brought to life with superb models. Makes you wonder how even more amazing he would be if he was alive now, with present day technology! Grounds and lake, excellent and very beautiful.

Stumbled upon this place and decided to take a look. Expensive price to pay plus paid parking. The exhibits were well done, and quite informative, but there was no one there to explain anything, and the full "experience" amounted to 2-3 rooms plus the basement...More

You don’t even need a guide, there are explanations in every room and this is a very interesting house. Do not miss the basement where there are models of da Vinci drawings.

No problem. Lots of places in the gardens to sit and eat. We didn't do it ourselves but saw lots of others picnicking and wished we had too.

There are a small number of free spaces just down the road, next to a new pay parking area, which is not too expensive. There are signs to the chateaux from the ring road, and we found it easily.

We walked from our Amboise hotel to Clos Luce and spent the morning there, then walked to Chataeu Amboise and spent the afternoon there. A full day is adequate for seeing both. We had a nice dinner in Amboise afterward... More
