At EUR 36 a couple to visit a interior filled with contemporary art, partly in rooms on the second floor not renovated since a century and filled with pictures of a heiress squandering during her lifetime the family's fortune, it is a poor quality/price ratio

A beautiful 17th century chateau with a long and rich history. If you are in the Loire valley, this is not to be missed. The historic stables and the grounds are also well worth visiting. Apart from the chateau and stables, which are fascinating and...More

The grounds of the Chateau play host to a festival of gardens every year. This year the theme is ‘Gardens of Thought’. It was fascinating to see how the 25 artists interpreted this. Not quite Chelsea standards but good nonetheless. The Chateau itself is grand...More

One reason for choosing to stop here was the history of the horses and donkeys. They are no longer on the property. Disappointing. However, the stables are magnificent and impressive. Lots of land surrounds this property and several buildings other than the chateau as well....More

We went for the garden festival which was wonderful. They used to sell a ticket just for the festival but now you have to buy one for over 13euros for the castle as well. The garden festival is amazing and take a good 2-3 hours...More

We went there on our way back to Paris after seeing 5 chateaus in the previuos several days. Least interesting, most expensive.

The chateau is beautiful on the outside but that's about where it ends. First is was one of the most expensive chateaus we visited (30 euros for an adult and a student). Second, MANY rooms are poorly maintained or have not been maintained at all....More
