We did a “white wine” tasting with friends this Saturday! Very good time, with a passionate connoisseur, who was able to share with us his enthusiasm for his love of the wines of his region!
We then, on his advice, bought wines for the evening: an explosion of tastes with wines that went superbly with the regional products we had!
An address that I highly recommend!

Today, 10.31.23, we attended a Pinot Noir master class! Excellent presentation by Adrian and the discovery of the color saturation-wine quality-price pyramid!👍Very simple and very accurate! I bought and sent home 18 bottles of wonderful Burgundy wine! Thanks Adrian!

On our way home from the market with all our fresh produce we stopped at La Route Des Vines to buy a bottle of the best Burgundy. Not knowing the wines of the district we were assisted with an excellent choice - a Pinot noir - Marsannay Marie Ragonneau for 21 euros.

Obviously the owner is knowledgeable about local wines and seemed to have an interesting selection from smaller producers.
I'll try to keep this succinct, but it was an hour until closing and he didn't seem interested in being open any longer. There was a chalkboard sign outside (in English) advertising wine tastes -- 4 for 10 euros or something like that. We asked for a taste as we had literally just arrived in Dijon from Alsace and hadn't tasted any Burgundy wines yet on our trip. And we wanted to get a couple bottles to sip on in the evenings at the apartment we rented. He very begrudgingly offered us the tasting and gave us some reasonable descriptions of the wines. We thought they were OK but nothing special. At which point he returned he complained that we bought a (single) bottle already from another store (he could see from the bag we were carrying) and retreated to the front of the store mumbling. We continued to browse since he did have an interesting selection and we did want another bottle or 2. We had one bottle in particular we were about to ask him about and would have likely purchased -- but just then we heard him whining (in English)from the front of the store "we are not a wine bar" just loud enough so we could hear it. At this point we had really had enough of his weird passive/aggressive rudeness.
We stayed in Dijon for 5 days, bought about 2 cases total, none of it from this store. Every other store and winery we visited in Burgundy was helpful and polite -- I honestly can't imagine what would drive a small business owner to treat potential paying customers this way. We are well travelled, have been to wine areas of France, California, Oregon, Italy, Spain, Greece, Argentina, Georgia, and probably a few other places as well -- and never experienced anything like this.
My suggestion to this proprietor would be to hire some enthusiastic young person having better interpersonal skills to be the primary salesperson.

My partner and I showed up 10 minutes after shop hours, which normally in France is a sin. The owner (we suppose he was) was so nice, helpful and honest. We only bought two bottles but will definitely go back because back home we went on the internet and found out that the deal was quite good and most importantly, the gentleman very knowledgeable.

La Route des Vins was a nice place to shop for regional wines in a relaxing and unpretentious atmosphere. The shop is well stocked from every nook and cranny in Burgundy, with selections that cover all price points. If you want rare Grand Cru, they have it -- if you want a great bottle for ten euros, they have you covered.
I went with some specific ideas of what I wanted to find, and was very happy with the choices they had to offer (I was looking for some off-the-beaten path 1er Cru burgundies). The shop owner was very helpful, and despite my poor attempts to speak in French, he was patient and then slipped over to English to help me out!
Give Le Route des Vins a shot when in Dijon. You'll be amazed at the breadth of choices, in a comfortable shopping atmosphere.

got some very good advise on wine from the region. the, what we think was the owner or manager, advised that he is sourcing wines from the area that are good quality at a medium price range.
he shipps all over the world and offers tax free. we certainly stocked up on some boxes.

We think the instructor's name was Jille (apologies if we got it wrong). Jille was highly knowledgeable about the wines of Bourgogne, yet patient with us, who are strict amateurs who barely know French. We learned a lot, and we enjoyed tastes of four wonderful wines. Yum!
