This has a very fine collection of medieval art and artifacts. The audio guide is a must and has a very well designed presentation on the art history of the collection as well as the royal relics. Staff were very friendly and eager to receive...More

Despite major renovations the museum is open and consequently free. We spent an hour slowly walking round but was well worth it

This is not a particularly large museum. However, it must be noted that they are in the middle of a large renovation. Once these are completed, the museum might be much larger. Nevertheless, that which is open to the public is well worth a look,...More

Many of the collections were closed due to the renovation, what we saw was small but cute. It gave us a good flavour of the history of the city and we were done in an hour.

The museum is currently undergoing renovation and is free of admission. Those exibits available for exhibition including the tombs of the dukes of Burgundy are divine. Don't forget to check out the views out of the windows of the museums at different floors. I find...More

A small, free museum set in the Palais of Dukes of Burgundy, this musee has the famous cenotaph tombs of Philip the Bold, John the Fearless and Margaret of Bavaria on display. These individuals are buried elsewhere. The sculpted mourners along the bottom of the...More

We both thoroughly enjoyed visiting Le Musée des Beaux-Arts. To be honest, we went in to escape from the relentless heat and it was much welcome respite from the 38• outside! Despite the renovations, the museum is extremely beautiful inside and out. Free too! Well...More

Free museum with beautiful artwork from middle ages and renaissance. Even though I am not religious, I was still amazed by the talent of the artists and the detail of the work they create. Worth a visit!

Due to the renovations of the museum only a fraction of the museum is available for the public. The entrance is free and the audio tour is 4 euros. The audio tour leads you through the museum but there are obvious gaps in the information...More

It is a large museum so I would expect that is open all year. Perhaps check with your hotel before you go. Be mindful of the Noon-2PM closing time for everything (except restaurants) in Dijon.
