Once an entrance through the walls of the old, now the entrance to a fantastic pedestrian walkway that extends for many blocks. Admire the carvings which grace the structure and marvel at the length of time this has been standing.

If you catch the tram into Dijon centre, this is the first striking piece of architecture that you'll see welcoming you to the main shopping area of Dijon.

This area gives a great view of the city centre and provides all the entertainment you need. From here you can walk to every place you need to go to...the cinema, shops, restaurants etc

a stately but isolated arch-way leading up to the Jardin Darcy. Very lovely and photo worthy. To the right leading to the Jardin Darcy is the Hotel de la Cloche " - an actual palace but many famous people have stayed there.

The reason we saw Porte Guillaume was because it was near our car park and its marvellous architecture caught our eyes immediately. It is very similar to the central part of the famous Marble Arch in London.

Right by the main tram area, if you come in from the outer reaches of the city, this is one of the first things you see. It's an introduction. An insight. A glympse. Of what you are about to see as you walk in to...More

It is a good choise to Start here, in the back you have a small beautiful Park with a playground for children. You can chose the main road, but the smaller streets with churches and the historical buildings are a better Option. A great postoffice-building...More

The trams and the buses all stop at this square. It is the main entry into the main walkway that goes straight through old Dijon. Though the square is impressive and makes for a notable landmark, it really is not worth spending too much time...More

This is a cool place to visit as part of a trip to Dijon. There’s some information written in French, English & German for the tourists. It’s well maintained and although not worth a special visit it’s interesting to see if you’re in the city.

It opens the gate to the shopping street of Dijon. It also marks the wide square where you find many visitors strolling. A monument that reminds me of the Arc de Triomphe of Paris.

From the train station and onward to the sites of the city, this arch is the entry point into the pedestrian only street.
