Awesome experience, wonderful staff. We were early for our reservation in a group of mixed English/French speakers. Our guide was more than accommodating, sometimes explaining things in both languages. The visit was a truly unique experience including adding sound, touch, sight, and smell senses experiences (on top of tasting wine) while walking through the caves in a progressive tour/tasting experience. Our tasting consisted of 5 wines, 2 whites (savigny les Beanue and premier cru Chardonnay/Beanue) and 3 reds (mercury, 2 premier cru wines including pommard and Beaune). Approximately 1-1.5 hour experience. Different pricing options for just the tasting vs souvenir wines or posters. A lovely visit.

My husband and I work in the wine industry in California, so we were excited to see what French wine tastings look like. The tasting starts with a quick walk through a huge, home. When you get down to the cellar, your guide will share the first pour and talk about the wine, how it's made, the vineyard, and the experience of tasting wine. This is a fully immersive experience, and Marie-Mathilde was able to ask even the most in-depth questions about French wine, French appellations and the complexities of each.

As you make your way through their caves, you taste different wines and explore the different senses involved in wine tasting.

Finally, you return upstairs where you have the opportunity to buy some of the wines that you've tried.

Every wine tasting experience is not like this, but Marie-Mathilde made this memorable for us. Without her, I'm sure this would have been a very different review, but we had a wonderful time.

Our tasting at Bouchard Aine (not to be confused with Bouchard Pere a few blocks away) was part of a package deal with a Beaune hotel. Two of us were joined by a few others for a short underground tour and progressive tasting, starting from the most generic regional wines and progressing up the food chain to more highly classified stuff. Having toured and tasted at dozens of wineries all over France, US, Australia, etc., there wasn't a lot of new stuff here. But Bouchard did a very nice job of setting out the various aromas in wine as it ages, with some demonstrative help. That part went beyond "Intro to Wine 101."

The wines themselves were a bit unremarkable, as happens sometimes with larger negociant houses, but overall it was an enjoyable hour.

Stopped by here as recommended by a knowledgeable sommelier and were not disappointed. The ladies explained their tasting guidelines and proceeded to match our palates to the wines we experienced. We walked away with a case and are looking forward to enjoying our wines!

I learnt far more than I thought I would at this cave having been to a couple in the past - we took the €35 for 2 which included tasting 6 wines, 2 glasses, a poster and a bottle to take away. No pressure to buy and the wine is good.

We made an appointment for a guided tour in English one day before, but when we arrived the other day they told us it would be too difficult to guide in two languages. So if you are not French-speaking, better choose another location for wine tasting.

We greatly enjoyed the tour of the five senses; it is a clever and informative way to present wine tasting. The tour guide was personable and switched effortlessly between speaking in English for us, and French for the other couple on the tour. The wines we tasted were fabulous including a premier cru and grand cru. This winery has several tours per day at specific times; we called around 3pm and were able to reserve a spot on the 5:30 tour for the same day. Definitely recommended!

We had a private visit with Mr. Ze Eduardo. He is from Portugal and speaks France, English and Portuguese of course. So we did in Portuguese (we are from Brazil) and it was fantastic.
The cost by itself is incredible. You can fell all senses such as touch, smell... you prove 5 wines including a Grand Cru for €15.
I really recommend and a special thank to Ze Eduardo!

Having looked on the internet, and on their published leaflets, we were told there was no need to book in advance - so we turned up, having made a special journey, only to be told to go away as the next tour, in English or in French, was not for another 90 minutes.

The attitude of the person on duty was brusque at best: customer service and a friendly welcome are clearly not on their list of important business objectives!

Visiting Bouchard Aine & Fils is a great way to get a feel for what Burgundy and neighboring regions does best.
We had a great tasting given by Anna who spent time to explain the various levels of wine and how they came to exist. I highly recommend this producer.
