Medieval health care in artistic splendor. A well preserved architectural gem. Take the tram tour outside the entrance, good way to discover the town

The Hospices de Beaune are central to the history of the entire region and a must-do while visiting. English audioguide was good.

We had a personal guide that was included with our cycling package. I find having a guide (rather than headsets) makes it so much more interesting and can tell you more tidbits of information.

A must visit for everyone visiting Beaune! Good English audio guide, fascinating place! Almost the birthplace of " modern medicine" right in the center of this charming French town.

I'm curious why you referred to the Hotel Dieu as "one man's vision." Wasn't it in reality a woman's vision, carried out by her adoring and powerful husband?

It's been almost a year since I visited this museum and wrote the review, so I will have to bow to your knowledge on this one. The audio tour referred often to a male benefactor in my recollection. It was to him I was... More
