We took the opportunity to do a vertical tasting of 8 Drouhin Chassagne-Montrachet Morgeot Marquis de Laguiche Premier Cru wines from 1993 to 2016. It was expensive (80 euro) but we were glad we did it. The tour of the facility and the cellars was...More
We took part in the special Pinot Noir tasting. It started with a tour of the caves which are simply fascinating. The wine press from the 13th century still works and is used for special occasions. The caves themselves are vast and our guide was...More
They opened up a 2pm tour spot for us and we ended up being the only 2 on the tour, which was a nice plus. Rafael was very knowledgeable and helped us Burgundy newbies learn the basics of what’s probably the world’s most complicated wine...More
A wonderful tour in beautiful cellars Drouhin bought from monks. The main thing that shocked us was how large the area of the cellars was and how it was basically under an entire block of downtown Beaune. Fabulous!
We were introduced to this place by friends and had a fab tour around a maze of underground cellars holding some of the worlds finest wines! We had the tasting which was exceptional and we purchased some lovely wines to take home.
Pricey, and must be reserved but totally worth it. Walk through 800 year old wine cellar beneath city center. Sample great wines. These people are among the best vintners but also great stewards. Incomparable!
This cellar is remarkable for how enormous and long it is. Definitely take this trip and when you. Do check out the prices for wine (MOST IMPORTANT: shipping ends up at about 12 euro a bottle) which with shipping is much cheaper than buying in...More
We had a great tour where we saw the caves, the old wine press and learned so much about the Drouhin history. The tour ended with a vertical tasting of both whites and reds. We really enjoyed the tour and wines.
we visited the Oenothèque Drouhin and did not have the time to take the guided tours of the cellars - this will be for another time. The wines from the sales list read like the who's who of top Burgundy grand crus - and a...More
We took a guided tour with just 6 others that covered the interesting history of the family domain, their winemaking, and took us through the extensive underground cellars. Our guide Manon was delightful, and very knowledgeable of the family company, the region, and the wines of...More
