Believe all the reviews and hype surrounding this school. Cristina was phenomenal--our tour was personalized to our interests and Cristina shared with us her deep knowledge and passion for the region and viticulture. We couldn't help but fall in love with Burgundy through her introduction and explanation. The experience inspired the rest of our one-week stay in France, to try... More

On a six week tour of French wines, Burgundy wine school was the highlight. Cristina brought in bits and pieces of geology, geography, history, economics, and of course viticulture.

Cristina was a great teacher for two people who had a lot to learn. She is a down to earth and to the point teacher that clearly knows her stuff. This was not a fluffy drink some wine and casually discuss some basic facts -- it was an in depth history of the region, the terroir, the various appelations and... More

We travelled with friends to Beaune who had read an Australian newspaper review of the Burgundy Wine School. We can attest to the glowing comments already posted here, we enjoyed an outstanding morning learning about wine with Cristina. Our only regret is we didn't have more time to spend with her, next visit it will be the first booking on... More

We took the course at the beginning of our trip through Burgundy! It was useful for understanding and exploring Burgundy wines! Prepare yourself for a lot of information about history, classification and varieties of Burgundy wines! If you want to learn basics and more, you should take the course!

The other reviews about Cristina were spot on. I did the half-day Burgundy experience and learned more in 3.5 hours that I could have learned in weeks. Cristina is incredibly knowledgable and passionate about the region and was able to prepare me to walk into any wine shop and at least have a chance at picking a Burgundy wine I... More

There are already tons of reviews stating how amazing Cristina is, which is the main reason why we decided to splurge on this class. At first, I was a bit concerned, since our group included two beginner to intermediate wine lovers and two WSET certified friends...however, my two certified friends expressed how much they have learned. Cristina is so knowledgeable... More

Rather than overwhelm by recapping all the excellent reviews about Cristina Otel and her wonderful Burgundy Wine School, I'll just start by saying I'd read and relied on the many excellent Trip Advisor reviews in deciding to hire Cristina as our wine teacher and Guide to the wines of Burgundy. The reviews were helpful and very accurate, so our thanks... More

This is the second wine class we have taken in Burgundy but this one stands tall compared to the other. We took the 90min course (just the two of us) as a Saturday evening "apero" before the apero and before dinner in Beaune. The teacher has a serious breadth of knowledge which is tangible and understandable/ practical. She is friendly,... More

Despite its charm and beauty, Burgundy can be the most mystifying wine region in the world to the outsider. Where are the great vineyards and what makes them great? Are there good value wines available and where can you taste them? Our day with Christina started with a short walking tour of ancient Beaune, then a brief but fascinating insight... More
