Burgundy is a history lovers dream.Historic and beautiful towns, breathtaking abbeys and ancient and unique buildings. The wine is wonderful but there is so much more to discover .The people are friendly and helpful and the scenery lovely. My favourite places are, Dijon,Beaune (particularly the medieval hospital) ,the abbey of Fontenay and Vezelay. But there are many more lovely places... More

Patrick led us on a great tour of 3 wine producers around the area and a great lunch at a Michelin-starred restaurant. The pace was perfect as was the beautiful weather. This was a great private tour and introduction to the region and its wines.

We tasted terrific wines and learned so much! I am so glad we booked our wine touring with Burgundy Discovery. We booked 2 days of small-group visits, one the Grand Premier Tour and then the Hidden Secrets Tour. Both days were fabulous, and each of our guides was very knowledgeable, friendly and fun to be with. We toured with Patrick... More

Had a fantastic tour with Robert! Visited 3 wineries and tasted great varieties of red and white at each. Robert was knowledgable and accommodating, and just an overall interesting person to talk to. The fact the tour groups are small is also a huge plus, the tour was customized for us based on our questions and interests. I would 100%... More

We went to Burgundy (Beaune) as a group of eight of us and were so lucky to have Joy as our tour guide. She was extremely knowledgable and picked out great places for us to visit. We had a spectacular lunch and it was very helpful to have a french and english speaking guide. I wish we had more time... More

My wife and I had an excellent (and most delightful) wine tour in Burgundy with Robert and Joy Pygott of BURGUNDY DISCOVERY wine tours. We went with them for two days for the Hidden Secrets and the Gourmet Grand Premier wine tours -- joy and Robert are very knowledgeable about the Burgundy area, its history, its huge number of wonderful... I got to choose a fantasy destination for my 60th birthday, and it was a trip to Burgundy. The highlight of which, was two days of wine touring with the lovely couple Joy and Robert Pygott of Burgundy Discovery Wine Tours. The first of the two days was led by Joy, who picked us up at our hotel [- pure... More

This was our second tour with Burgundy Discovery and this time we went to Santenay, our first tour was around the Beaune area which was great. Last year we had Robert and this time our guide was Joy, both are extremely passionate and knowledgeable about wine - plus they manage to keep the day both informative and fun! We met... More

We had a wonderful day with Rob and Joy in Burgundy. There is a lot to learn about this wine region and they did a great job explaining it and helping us get the most out of our tastings. We got to taste in 3 different areas of Burgundy (I think Pommard was my favorite) and eat lunch in another... More

My wife and I just did a Hidden Secrets tour with Robert and Burgundy Discovery wine tours and we really hit the jackpot! We were escorted in luxury and the timing couldn't have been more perfect as the weather was beautiful and we toured just after the harvest when the wineries were in full production mode. The tour included us... More
