When we first entered, we felt we were in the Cathedral it was so nice. Wonderful art throughout. Like several of the other churches we visited, the stained glass is almost all new in that these windows were damaged during WWII.
Rennes is filled with churches, but this one merits a stop for your time in the city. It was open, but completely empty when we visited. The solitude and the magnificence of the building is a delight and the interior appointments are wonderfully maintained.
I was surprised by how many people came into the church to sit quietly and/or pray.
The Virgin Mary and child chapel is beautiful, attracting many devotees of all ages.
