Went here in October on a cloudy, dreary, misty day. The steps can be exhausting; it is not suited for anyone with a physical disability. The view this day was limited and the site was overrated.

Ok, a little hard to explain, we we think this place is overpriced and somewhat difficult to walk up the stairs. I know it is an old site but I found it strenuous. The view on a late afternoon are fantastic so you take the good with the bad. Your choice

After being woken up by the bell of the tower, we decided to se what the noise was about. A short but interesting climb up the stairs. The view from the top was amazing.

It's a long climb up rickety and narrow stairs, and you do get a lovely view of the surrounding town and countryside, but not worth the price of admission.

The tour de l'Horlage involves a climb up a series of steps which ends with a very steep short stairway. I climbed up in the late afternoon and had a splendid view of the city. It gives a good overview of the city and there is a strange graphic explanation half way up in French but with English subtitles.visual

We arrived late, 1800 hrs, no queue, 10 euro for a family of 5. We all climbed to the top and you get a pretty good view, would be great on a very clear day, ours was a little hazy. Don't forget the bells chime the quarter hours (Its not too loud, but the little one thought it might be... More

Best part is to get to the top and see the great views over the city. Just make sure that you are not near the bell at the 4 quarter parts of the hour otherwise you could be deafened

Quite a climb to get to the top of the tower but really worth the walk up. Not for anyone who is scared of heights though as it does feel a bit unstable at the top-even though it is 100% safe! Enjoyed the lovely views of the city - a definite must do!

Beautiful views across the roof tops of Dinan and the countryside beyond. The bell ring isn't too deafening if you happen to be up at the top when it strikes.
