Up:
- Amazing choice of chocolates especially for me who prefer milk chocolate
- Incredible works of art made of chocolate in the shop

Down:
- Of course it's pricey (55 € / kg) but it's worth it in reasonnable quantity

THE BEST CHOCOLATE NEAR BREST
Aug 2018
We were brought to the 14th Century fort at Concarneau by friends who live south of Brest. A very hot day in August and the last thing we wanted was chocolate but as we strolled through this town we were drawn in by the stunning window display and the scent of chocolate wafting out. We lingered in the air conditioning. Free samples abounded and we ate our fill and bought bags of chocolate. The intricate displays of ships and forts made of chocolate were very impressive.

This is a great little place filled with an amazing variety of deliciously decadent chocolates. The biscuits and cakes are lovely too. The best bit (apart from eating the fine assortment of chocolates) is the sculptures.

Naughty but nice
Sep 2017 • Couples
Nearing the end of our last day in Concarneau we found this very naughty chocolate shop. We were having another rain shower so dived in. The array of chocolate is amazing, not just the on sale items but but the chocolate sculptures. We went through picking this and that and adding them to our bag.
Check out found we had spent €21, the guy in front spent €29, so be warned it can soon add up. Now back in the UK we have a couple of bits in the evening and yes it was worth every penny.
This shop is well worth a visit, especially if you want get rid of the last of your holiday Euros.

Always ask my parents to bring me back some Easter chocolate. Put my order in a year in advance. Totally recommended. Better than Swiss and Belgian Chocolate

Situated in the Old City a fantastic array of the art of chocolate making, have you ever seen a toolbox complete with spanners etc. also a Shire horse in complete harness made from chocolate? well this shop has them. Forget the diet and try some of the amazing range on offer.

Actually, we were in Quimper

But there doesn't seem to be a listing for them. Since Concarneau is just down the road, I've put the review here. I'm betting it is just as fabulous. The shop in the old part of Quimper was delightful. Full of wonderful pastries (including the specialty of Brittany, the kouign-amann) and candies. I bought excellent caramels - beurre sale was my favorite but the mocha was a close second.
