Amazing view. It is a little chapel on a hill, a spectacular view on a fine day. When we went the Tumulus itself was closed for some work. The nature there is truly spectacular . Overall AMAZING. There is a relatively steep walk up to the Tumulus so it would not be suitable for someone with mobility issues. There is a free carpark below the Tumulus.

Great views from the top of the entire area, the tombs are closed off nowadays but its still amazing to see what people could achieve so long ago, parking is close by and a hotel with a few seats thats nice for a coffee is beside it,
this pre-christian site now has a christian church on top of it...i wonder is it time to restore it back to what it was

Not worth the visit, as there is nothing really to visit. The only redeem point about this place is the view from the top. There are several much more interesting tumuli around Carnac that one can visit and see inside.

St.-Michel is a tumulus, a tomb of 12 m high and about120 m of large; on the hill is a little chapelle, also with the name St. Michel, and a large board with many informations of the site of Megaliths region and the 3000 Menhirs, on a field lenght of 4 km.
The tumulus itself is a hill with stones and earth, and inside are two funeral rooms "dolméniques" and 20 safes of stones; This founds are exposed in the archaeologique Museums of Carnac and in Vannes.
On the top of the tumulus, is a nice view of the Megaliths region , the coast and his islands.

Dating thousends of years back, and still standing! This tumulus is preserved very well. Don 't know whether it's possible to visit the interior.

It's a prominent tumulus, and at such a scale there was an enterprising christian who built a church up there. But you can;t enter the tumulus, just enjoy the new from the top. Parking is available.

Please be forewarned that all of these Neolithic sites featuring megaliths are not designed for the physically challenged. There are virtually no paved walk ways, no ramps, and no elevators. We had a rented car and got to this site using our GPS. This site is located adjacent to the property of a hotel. As one drives up the road, the parking lot to use is in the “field” to the right before one reaches the hotel’s parking lot. From this field, it is a short walk to the monument. One can walk around it and climb to the top, now crowned by a church. At the top, opposite the church is a circular, concrete structure on to which one can climb. Its “table top” has an illustrated plan featuring the sites and landmarks that can be seen from this 360 degree panorama.

The site is an elevated mound with a small chapel on the top. The summit is reached from a nearby small car parking area by a short walk of a few steps up a rather steep hillside path. When at the top you can walk around the outside of the little Chapel and enjoy magnificent 360 degree views of the surrounding countryside.
