Very beautiful achievement in this former Arsenal workshop, with access by a cable car above the Penfeld and beautiful flights over the Harbor. Shops, play areas. A flagship object: the imperial canoe, recently brought back to Brest. Gorgeous !
Very interesting temporary exhibitions: at the moment a parallel between Dresden and Brest, martyred and rebuilt cities. A beautiful exhibition on Brest and Jim E. SĂ©vellec, an essential painter of Brest of the 20th century. Too bad it remains confidential, in a small hidden space near the media library

Superb rehabilitation of the old workshops of the arsenal. Access by the famous cable car to access a huge leisure area, free for dancers, badminton, skate... Or go to the climbing wall, shop, treat yourself to a craft ice cream or have a good time in the media library (books, slide, video game area or board games. While respecting the history of the place and magnificent views of the forms of refit.

Empty warehouses that might be interesting if there were some boutiques, music, art and restaurants. Well there was one restaurant open and one boutique if I recall, but a huge empty space that needs some life. Certainly not worth the visit

Les Capucins in Brest, accessible by cable car. Very very well rehabilitated industrial site. In zone for sporting and cultural activities. Cinema, climbing walls, space for cycling, dancing and snacks possible with bars

an amazing building! the library is wonderful and so is the whole building. the whole city should be a building to protect the people from the horrible weather (constant wind and unexpected showers).

This is best place to see in Brest. Quite big building - like loft - giving lot of space and light for people so they can spend their time in a way they like.
On ground level you can see kids riding bikes or rollerblades, people sitting around tables and reading books, cinema etc. First level consist of few "rooms". During our visits we saw ballet dancers practicing their roles, people playing piano concerts.
We could feel positive energy there.

Incredible place. Old army factory converted in a leisure space for citizens of Brest. People can run, skate, there is a fantastic public library where both children and adults can play board or electronic games such as gameboy, wii... There is also a piano which anyone can play and if course the cable car to cross to the other side of the river is a must.

The regeneration of this massive industrial building was clearly an enormous undertaking, but it has the feel of an expensive white elephant.
There’s the mandatory craft brewer, a book store, cinema, rock wall & cafe, and then plenty of empty space, including lots of tenancies that are empty & unused.
The majority of the space is used for kids on bikes, rollerblades, scooters & skateboards.
The highlight was the cable car over.
