Interesting but not essential

We had plenty of time in Le Puy, so we explored the cloisters, which are adjacent to the cathedral and the giant Mary statue. It was interesting to explore the cloisters and the exhibition of religious garments it holds, but I'd make time for the other attractions before this one.

Once you reached the top of the hill, you will be pleasantly admiring the view overlooking Le Puy. Very peaceful place.

A beatiful cathedral in a gorgeous historic town

With its black virgin, surroundings and decor this is a must see Cathedral. I was there to do the Camino 18 months ago and had an emotional send off from the priest.

Beautiful but...

Why would the Cloisters be closed between 12 o'clock and 2PM? This is most inconvenient for visitors .

The whole area around the Cathedral is interesting, including this part, and if you have the time and the energy then it's worth the diversion to have a look.

Pleasant cloisters.
Sep 2016 • Couples
Some interesting statues and wall painting pleasant if unexceptional. Like most of the venues here the reception played beautiful choral music. Very soothing.

Small, but beautiful, and certainly worth the entrance fee!

So many things to see here, the sculpture, the construction, the atmosphere, the small but beautiful exhibition of religious chasubles, embroidery so delicate you cannot imagine that is was done by hand and candle light....

Small but Lovely Collection

A very nice (albeit small) collection of treasures from over the years. People who enjoy art and vestments from the middle ages/renaissance will enjoy it a lot
