I went here with my parents in 1975 and back then you drove your car up to the top, where there was a rather seedy cafeteria and not much else. Now you go up by a brand-new metre-gauge rack railway, and the new buildings on...More

Spectacular views travel to the summit by train or on foot for the more energetic plenty to see and do. Decent food and drink outlets. Recommend for all ages and abilities.

Well worth the visit to get impression of the extent of volcanos in this part of France. Rack railway to top was fun. We walked down and enjoyed the scenery.

You can enjoy the climb and see the wonderful view by a clear weather but be careful with the snow! There might be quite a lot of it ! it must be amazing to see the white coat but choose a day without wind
