My wife and I visited on a hot morning, arriving at 10:05. It's a site where history is stacked on history. No place for pushchairs or wheelchairs, rough paths and steps almost all the way. You get an informative folder of the various points of...More

We loved exploring every inch of this ruined medieval castle and its troglodyte caves. This site is amazing! It’s a great place to bring young and older children.

We really enjoyed our visit climbing over the castle walls. The height is breathtaking and the whole complex is fascinating. Even our teenage boys enjoyed the walk down to the castle and exploring the castle. Definitely worth visiting.

The location of this castle is that of a fairytale; let's not waste words on elaborate descriptions: just go there and see for yourself. Its history in this valley is amazing. First there were cave dwellers, who made drawings, thousands of years ago, in the...More

This is an ongoing archaeological dig and restoration in progress and they have done an amazing job. It is a chance to see how history is layered - a medieval castle, with Roman influences on top of troglodyte habitation, over a prehistoric cave. We were...More

Very interesting site......bit of a climb and steep in places but worth it......do wear good footwear......just be aware that there is a good 10-15 minute walk to the chateau from the car park.
