Another stop while driving from Bilbao to Bordeaux November 2022. We parked on a street about a 5 minute walk from here. We couldn't walk all the way out at the time but it was still so beautiful. Can you imagine staying here and seeing this every morning and evening. Beautiful blues, sun shining on the surface, great people watching. There were kids taking lessons in the water. It was chilly at that hour but to be in that water too, brrrr. I definitely recommend stopping by for the views, maybe grab some lunch and watch the waves.

Other than beaches there is not much to see in Biarritz so if you have spare time, like I did, it’s worth it to walk to the statue. Reminds you of the time when France was a catholic country. Now it is a largely atheist country with empty churches being silent witnesses to its catholic past.

Living in South West of France I often walk in Biarritz and I invite you to come wih me by watching my album I enjoy walking in Biarritz. From the Rock on the Virgin you can see the whole Basque coast and Spain in the distance. A wonderful sight always different because of the changing sea and lightsl

I visited Biarritz for a few hours ..The Virgin Rock ,a symbol of the elegant city was of couse on the stage ,after a long and pleasant walk along the beach in extra -season .The rock connected to the land by a metal footbridge ,supposedly built by Gustav Eiffel is so beautiful .I just admired the landscape and the wild nature in all its beauty.

Walked here one day. It’s an easy walk apart from some steps on one side.
Good photograph opportunity and delightful spot with great views back along the coast.
Quite a impulse sot with many tourists and buses parked near by.

Great place to visit from the scenery to numerous cafes/bars. Sea crystal clear with crashing waves. Perfect walk from here to the Lighthouse

Take a lovely walk from the Cathedral Saint Eugenie on the coast road toward the old fishing port. Stay on the road and take a walk up trough the gardens which will bring you out at the Aquarium and the Rocher de la Vierge. It 's a very beautiful and scenic walk. Walking out to the rock and take in the views before continuing along the road to the small attractive Plage du Port Vieux. Lovely beach and hard to imagine whales were cut up here. Some nice spots across the road to chill out with a drink.

The coastline in the town is beautiful. It is not even just this one rock, it is much more of them and all together it gives you wonderful photo opportunities. It is one of the loveliest coastlines I have walked through.

The "rocher" is one of the most emblematic monuments of Biarritz, the walking is really nice, and from the rocher you can see both bays of Biarritz. Spectacular view.

Very close to this monument you can find the Acquarium, a small but very interesting acquarium.

Definitely the Rocher de la Vierge is a place to visit.
