. Oh, the Tour St Michel! What memories of the mummies! Before we get to that, let's say that the tower is well worth a visit, being attractive outside and for a couple of euros (€5 in summer 2013, but included the exhibition below) you...More

I think my photos speak for themselves, what a waste of time and money. Most of the 'half way' viewing points overlooking the bustling market were padlocked off due to poor safety and the only area that was available to look over the rooftops was...More

On a sunny day well worth the climb. The circular stairs were in surprisingly good condition - not too steep to go both up and down. Solid handrail on right going up and size of steps easily accommodating a size 12 shoe. The depth of...More

Alright to have a peep inside. It is not one of the greats but is does have its charm. The stained glass windows are interesting and in the sun they do give an added atmosphere with the play on light effect.

We climbed this tower in the morning before the queues started to form. The story of the mummies in the crypt is quite gruesome but has to be listened to, to be believed. The tower has two levels with a small display on the first...More

La Fleche, how the locals call it, is a bell tower built separately adjacent to the St. Michel Basilica in a beautiful Gothic style. It's located more in downtown and closer to the river than the other Pey-Berland belfry of St. Andrew Church. But, it...More

The tower looks magnificent from a distance as it dominates the square in front of the Basilique. Closer inspection revealed a less appealing side. Graffiti, litter, discarded cans and bottles, rough sleepers and an unpleasant human/urine stench dominate the base. Disappointingly fouled historic monument. Don't...More

When we arrived outside the bell tower there was a strong smell of urine. The tower costs €5 to climb, don’t bother its a waste of time and money. Granted the view is nice but you can only go 47m up.

We went there to grab drinks. We were hungry so we ordered some ham croquettes and some calamari as tapas. The calamari was the worst we ever had. Really... the croquettes were not good either. We asked for some sauce to try to improve the...More

This church is located on a vibrant city square. Before touring the church we enjoyed people watching while sitting in the square eating a croissant we bought at a nearby bakery. We visited on a Sunday and there was a flea market next to the...More

Worth the money and climb to the top. Great views of the town and river. Plan on the trip on a clear day.
