This beautiful wide square is probably the most well known spot in Bordeaux between the Garone river and the city. A nice long Mirror fountain stands in the middle and reflects the buildings and lights.

Our cruise ship docked about 100 yards downstream from Place De La Bourse, which is the centrepiece of the modern city waterfront. This area has been redeveloped during the last couple of decades and offers a wide promenade adjoining the Gironde River, with road and Metro tram access adjoining. The Place De La Bourse itself then provides a backdrop to... More

This is one of those take it or leave it type of areas. We came for the architecture and the photos, and for that, and a bit of history it is interesting. However, your visit will be short, and it is only worth visiting if you are already passing through.

It's an impressive building to see and looks even better lit up at night but don't expect to see the reflection in the water mirror unless it's a dead calm day with perfect lighting

There no way to miss the most beautiful and recognizable place of the city. Just visit it during the day or the night and if it is possible I recommend to visit the place twice (day and night). Your are not going to lose your time, because the place looks different, the atmosphere is different and the "visitors" are different.

Just enjoyed a week in Bordeaux and would recommend this city to everyone. Walking is the norm around streets without cars, tram system is fantastic, great food and wine, fantastic food market tapas on Sunday.

A beautiful square, both day and night, and we had the opportunity to visit there at both times of day. The structure was built in the 1700s as a symbol of prosperity, and while it is not open to the public, the outside view is impressive.
