Very interesting cemetery containing the great and good of Bordeaux. Well tended and well laid out. A mini Pere Lachaise with mausoleums mixed with conventional grave. We were attracted to this cemetery as it would be one of France's most beautiful graveyards. It is indeed a very big cemetery and you can find a lot of sculptures around. Unfortunately we did not find the ones we saw in the advertisement and we were looking for.

I love cemeteries and will make very effort to visit at least one in every city we experience. This one is across the street from St. Bruno's Church, which as others have said is an easy red line Tram ride. It sits almost on the outskirts of the city towards the east. (Tram Line A, alight at St Bruno/ Hotel de la Region.) The late great and the good of Bordeaux lie in this vast flat necropolis which admittedly is not on most people's list of places to see.
