I honestly didn't know what to expect when I entered this museum. I visited it on the fly. It currently has a very interesting exhibition on the origins of racism and that was an unexpected learning experience; very eye-opening. The rest of the museum is dedicated to explaining how nature is shaped with particular focus on the evolution of species. This place is good for kids. They have plenty of interactive panels and games throughout the museum. It is also ideal for any science enthusiast.

Gorgeous ! Very beautiful scenography, an educational staging suitable for all audiences. The bias of selecting a few species instead of the multitude means that we are not left at all!
Go visit the temporary exhibition on the immersive Indian jungle, with smells, noises and subdued lighting, revisiting the dioramas. Then stroll among the coastal fauna and flora, observing everyday objects allowing you to understand in a surprising and fun way the way in which species use their mechanical devices to feed themselves! Pull out the drawers under the display cases to discover more.
The apotheosis is found in the large gallery on the upper level with a splendid, soft, almost evanescent lighting of the display cases where you are led to question the notion of species, classification and the place of man in evolution and the animal kingdom in a most interesting dynamic. The windows offer varied themes: "deformities", the reconstruction of a small 19th century-style window, a human also in the window...The drawers at children's height, under the windows will surprise you with their contents.
The very friendly scientific mediators will accompany you if you wish.
Finally, the price is very affordable, only 8 euros for the full price.
I loved it and I will come back!

This is an intelligent museum, which has given thought to the interpretation of its exhibits - for example, grouping together creatures according to how they eat, and how this is reflected in their anatomy.
It is in really excellent condition, sparkling and attractive.
There seemed to be a lot of wasted space on the ground floor. It would be useful to have a plan near the door showing detailed layout.
The display of fauna on the top floor is a bit over-full, resulting in specimens placed too high to be easily seen.
The shop is disappointing.

Suitable for everyone with many Things to do and a rich collection, the only regret is the size of the museum, which is relatively small. The numerous animals are all grouped together, leaving little room to fully appreciate the specimens on display. Some are even placed high, which makes them less visible.
It remains a pleasant museum to see and review.

Fabulous museum, very interesting and informative. So many animals and birds to learn about in a wonderful building with an abundance of very welcoming and attentive staff. Located in the public gardens it is very accessible from the city centre and great fun for adults and children. A five star visit.

Exhibitions on 4 levels. Really nice basement for the little ones. We really enjoyed the third floor with the hanging whale skeleton and especially Queen pin's, the archaeologist who answered all our questions and who was fascinating!

A very pleasant place full of history!
Excellent welcome, accessible lockers for bags and clothes, very good point that 💪 without forgetting the toilets before the start of the visit.
3 levels where we can admire creatures, each more impressive than the last.
Staff in white coats available at all levels to answer our various questions.
The children loved it.

Fantastic museum, which has clearly been well thought through.
The bottom two floors are designed for 2 - 8 year olds with plenty of interactive activities to keep them engaged.
Lots of space, good value for money and well worth a visit.

My son and I actually discovered this by accident. Walking in an area of town we do not normally visit, No charge unless you have bags which must be checked. Very nice presentation of this region traced from earliest signs of humanity. A large number of artefacts, nice scale models for presentation. All signs are in French only, but fairly basic, so if one has some knowledge of the language it works.

Hate to write a negative review for any museum, but after a 30 min queue and 7€ entry fee, found a very fundamental collection of old specimens behind glass, two floors of adorable small children being entertained, mostly by each other. The shop should be ashamed, no natural trinkets like stones or fossils, only cheap stuffed toys and paper cutouts. There are no services, not even a drinking fountain. Very young children might enjoy the outing.

Plus de 2 heures c'est sûr ! Nous avons un impératif horaire et avons dû "accélérer" la fin de la visite avec dépit ! Prevoir au moins 3h surtout avec des petits
