Not to be confused with its more famous namesake in Paris, this 11th century church is beautiful in its own right, with its elaborately carved facades and detailing.

This is a beautiful church in a quiet location just off the main streets, great for reflection and to get away from the crowds for a while.

Notre Dame is tucked away near Grane Theatre - we were both stunned when we came out of an small street to see the fabulous, decorated facade. There was a service in progress so we didn't go in but it was worth the slight detour to see the exterior and the beautiful buildings surrounding it.

We happened to be wandering around the neighborhood near the Place de Comedie, when we spotted an intricately carved stone facade. The church is fairly ornate (Baroque), with the interior being gothic and somewhat spartan in comparison. The stained glass is lovely, and the syklight really helps to lighten the gloom, and the organ is quite impressive. Neat place to... More

I'm usually a church/cathedral "in and out" person with a quick look-see of tombs, chapels and stained glass windows, etc. This is a very pretty baroque church and we were fortunate to enter right before a service and stayed for the procession and to hear the choir and organ. The pipe organ is magnificent and the choir was superb. Try... More

One of the most beautiful churches I have ever seen! The effect of the skylight in addition to the general beauty of the church was just breathtaking.

This former Dominican chapel was going back to the 13th century in Gothic style. The interior is famous of its purity.

This is another lovely church. France is full of such churches, but it would seem we just cannot get enough of them. We are not religious at all, but love to look at and admire these architectural marvels.

Lovely little church that is well preserved and a nice glimpse into Bordeaux 's past. The church has some lovely art and is quite serene inside.
