I enjoyed seeing the bright colors and art in this cathedral. The walk through the petit old town is charming also. It was calm and tranquil to visit. Bayonne overall is calmer than Biarritz and other coastal places.

I am from the area so I think I got used to pass the place, occasionaly visit the cloister but completely forgot how the inside looked like. I have to say, it has nothing to envy to some of the places I visited in Spain...More

The church is quite large with beatiful windows. Nowhere indicated how old these windows are. The cloister is nice but nothing special.

From a distance as we drove into Bayonne this magnificent church drew us visually and heartfelt..walking through the cloister then to the gothic architecture of Bayonne Cathedral, our time stood still...everywhere we looked our eyes were filled with beauty... spend time here

Lovely and very quiet town. The church and the monastery are connected. The pilgrims come to collect their stamp over here on the way to Santiago de Compostella.

Very impressive from the outside but most of interior closed for refurbishment which was disappointing. You can go from the Cathedral into a 14c cloisters where there were sellers of art and crafts - very good items for sale with no hard selling and very...More

You can't miss it: the towers tower over the Bayonne skyline. The exterior is classic Gothic, a bit grungy from the elements, but some chapels inside - with vibrant color - date much later. Stained glass is gorgeous, and the cloister is truly beautiful and...More
