very nice park with a spectacular bridge over the Rhine, where you can walk to the German side, lots of benches to sit and enjoy the riverside views. Lots of free parking next door.

This park was designed to rehabilitate a much maligned area of Strasbourg. The neighbouring estates being famed as amongst the worst in the city.
A lot of money was thrown into the construction on the French side and the end result sums up much of french central planning: overly pretentious and elaborate, with little focus on the end user.
It boasts poorly maintained gardens supposedly representing European ideals (I doubt the metaphor was intentional), an amphitheatre that looks desolate 99% of the time, little to no play areas for children and an absence of any catering options.
The Germans built a river walkway and then expanded it with a playground and a beergarden. I rest my case.

This footbridge spans the Rhine, connecting France and Germany. No cars of any kind are allowed...just pedestrians and bicycles. The design of the bridge came about as the result of a contest and it represents the spirit of cooperation between the two countries whose histories were marred with conflict. Where else can you take a short walk across a river and be in another country in a matter of minutes. On the French side there is a beautiful park which borders the Rhine as well. It is a nice and relaxing place to spend some time.

the park is unkempt in some places, well presented elsewhere. the gardens near the main entrance are very present, but as you progress towards the spectacular bridge they become a tad boring. However, dotted around the park are some nice art work and also a rather poignant memorial to the members of the resistance murdered by the Nazis. It's well worth crossing the Rhine and visiting the German side although the town of Kehl is just one big shopping mall - it looks like cigarettes for example may be cheaper here than in French as there seems to be a preponderance of cigarette shops. A couple of pleasant bars too, but really, the town itself is pretty mundane. You can get a tram (D line) back into Strasbourg

Though a bit far from the city center it is located beautifully at Rhein bank overlooking the city of Kehl. With superior bridge crossing that mighty and clean river you can really spend quality time sitting on benches over the middle of it.
On the bank you can find a lot of space - great plants organized into little gardens, a water installation scultpure, playground for children and many more. Just perfect for afternoon relax

We were surprised to find we could walk across a foot bridge over the Rhine and right into German. We had a snack on the benches right in the middle of the bridge overlooking the Rhine and the two countries. Wonderful.

I spent a morning wandering the two sides: there is plenty to admire, whether it is the bridges, or the river itself, or just the well-kept park. The scaled-down solar system was an interesting addition.

A lovely big, open park suitable for cycling, walking and playing ball games. Lots of different areas of interest. Well worth adventuring over the spectacular foot/cycle bridge into Khel in Germany.

The gardens are fairly large and pretty well maintained however in the winter there will be a very limited display. There are many areas for play and activities for children. In the summer time the colours are very good and even all through September it is nice. Most come here to cross the European foot bridge to Germany and back again and take many photos. The bridge is on the banks of the Rhone inside the park. Toilets in the park near the circus area.

The jardin des Deux Rives lies on both banks of the Rhine east of Strasbourg.
The park is larger on the French side, although it is rather bare.

The main reason to go there is if you are interested in crossing the bridge over the Rhine to Germany on foot. Otherwise, it is not worth the time to visit on a short stay in Strasbourg: count 15 minutes driving from the center (without traffic) through industrial area.
