Although the majority of traditional architecture in Alsace is of German traditional origin, this Palais de Rohan is a typical sign of French presence here, from the times of great French baroque (all who love baroque, will surely enjoy time here). Thus this palace makes a great cohesion between German and French cultures in the Alsace capital of Strasbourg, this... More

Really nice palace to visit and we were lucky enough to visit this when it was free. It is well decorated inside and is typical of 18th century building and architecture and has period furniture which was great to see. There some museums housed in this palace as well; art and archeology.

The combi ticket for the 3 museums inside is worth it. a lot to see, prepare to spend at least 2 hours if you are an avid art enthusiast.

We enjoyed our visit to the Palais de Rohan during a recent visit. Entrance to one of the museums inside was included with our Strasbourg City Pass. There are multiple museums inside, all worth a visit. However the Archaeology Museum was one of the best we've seen in Europe. We had no idea going in how extensive, and well presented... More

The Palais de Rohan comprises three museums - Archeology, Decorative Arts and Fine Arts. Reception staff were helpful in informing us of a day pass giving access to any of the museums for one fee which was very reasonable particularly for seniors. What they didn't do was tell us that that day the Fine Arts would close for lunch. Had... More

Central to the old city is the palace with 3 museums, fine arts, decorative arts, and archeology. We liked the fine arts the best but all were interesting and worth the combined entrance fee. After the visit we got tickets for the "longer- 70 min' boat ride at the river, which is not listed as an attraction, but do it,... More

The building is very nice. The museums, however, are very poor. Not to mention some of the personnel is extremely rude, especially the security guard at the door, who practically kicked me out for trying to take a picture of a sign. Don't waste your time.

I expected more. The book they give you in English is very hard to follow. A lot of items are missing and the staff follows you around like hawks. The museum looks rundown and is in need of TLC.

As museums go it was nothing to write home about. Spend you time elsewhere. There was nothing really bad about he place, but the collections was oddly arranged and not very well done. Skip
