Worth joining a tour for the full flavour. Free entry otherwise and €2 to participate at 12:30 by going behind the famous clock.

The stain glass windows are very beautiful. Entrance is free, which is quite unusual compared to other European cathedrals.

Although you can see the cathedral from a distance, when you are walking through the city towards it, the lower buildings hide it til you come round a corner and it rises up right in front of you! Tall, ornate, pink, stunning. Worthy of repeat...More

I really love the way this massive cathedral fits into the old city. The size and beauty of it is just overwhelming and immense. The spire appears light and delicate in contract to the immensity of the rest of the structure.

Standing in front of this colossal building is the most impressive thing of it. Inside, it's like all other churches if have seen. It's nice, it's cold, it has high ceilings, it has candles, it had ornaments, an organ... And the rest you'd expect from...More

Most of what you will see is inside and a small part is outside with cover for rain and wind. I've not been in December, but my son was and said it's the perfect time to go.
