We've done this tour twice now. If the weather is nice it's worth going on the open top boat as the views are better and photographs easier. The commentary is multi lingual and interesting and it is a good way to see the sights and especially the European parliament buildings. Gets very busy so book when you first arrive in... More

At 12.50 euros this trip isn't cheap but a Batorama boat trip is a great way to see a wider part of the city than the Grand Ile. Departing from near the cathedral it follows the canal round the Tanneurs Quarter and Petite France through a couple of locks past the Art Nouveau developments right out to the EU district... More

This 75 min. boat excursion costs 12.50 euros w/ audioguide and generally departs about every 30 min. from 9.30am-9pm in the summer from the Ill River near the Rohan Palace (1742) in the historical center of Strasbourg. The cruise passes most of the city's important buildings and landmarks incl. the Old Customs House (1358/1965), Petite France, the covered bridges (1250)... More

This is part of the Strasbourg pass and well recommended as it takes in a stunning view of the centre of Strasbourg from the canal surrounding the main part of town. Great commentary through the headphones. Plenty of good information given. It can be kids as well with special commentary for them. I suggest an open boat (there is a... More

If you have limited time in Strasbourg I would really recommend doing the Batorama tour as a great way to see the city highlights whilst getting an understanding of the city's place in history. Compared to other city boat tours (notably London) this one is attractively priced and there are many departures in a day allowing you to plan your... More

There is often no better way to see an old town quickly and get a feel for a place than a trip down its River. We were treated to good commentary and a comfortable ride by Batorama. Loved going through the locks too - areal treat. Only thing we would have liked was a choice of the open top boat... More

Seemingly the only boat tour in Strasbourg and they process you like the income that you are. Reasonable cost, adequate pre-recorded commentary but a most beautiful city. Difficult to purchase tickets online and long queues to purchase in person (30 minute +). Long queues to board the boat as well. We arrived at the suggested time and then could not... More

Fine way to spend a bit of time and see the city. The city is surrounded by water and you must traverse locks to make the trip. Very interesting. A cloudy day so the sights could have been better for photos. All in all we enjoyed the trip.

We took the boat trip last Friday. The sun was burning so we opted for the covered vessel. Unfortunately the windows are lightly coloured (blue) making it impossible to shoot good pictures. Although the airco was a nice plus. However, if you like taking good pictures, go for the non-covered version. Apart from that minor issue, the whole experience was... More
