This tour is very popular so I would recommend going to the ticket office on arrival and booking the desired time for the tour. Both open and closed boats are available, the open boats allows better photography whereas the closed boats are air-conditioned. The air-conditioning worked very well. The duration of the cruise is just over an hour and traverses two... More

We were smart and did an early tour at 10:30AM. Get in line and get the seat of your choice. Our boat was fully enclosed in glass, but you have the option of an open air boat as well. One thing to be aware of...the seats are the MOST UNCOMFORTABLE seats we've ever experienced. You sit in them for over... More

It is a good way to see the city. You can see the special passage between upstream and downstream. Different language options are available.

Very busy but worth it. 12.50 euro each for a 1 hour 10 mins including going past the European parliament which is a bit away from the main town - there is a shorter one just round Strasbourg. You go through two locks, which is impressive for such a big boat. The seating is tiered so everyone can see, and... More

We bought open tickets online in order to have some flexibility with the time as we only have one single day in Strasbourg and like to see as much as possible. In addition, we also prefer an open boat. As it turned out, it was a rainy day and we arrived at the ticket booth at about 1000 am to... More

This was a very interesting trip albeit not too long and, as others have said a bit of the time is spent in the locks. However, I felt the commentary was excellent and very clear and audible and the staff were pleasant and well organised. The only reason it has 4 stars is because it was not terribly clear from... The boat is air conditioned which is quite refreshing on a warm autumn afternoon. There is audioguides in most languages including a kids audioguides which was quite funny. This is great way to see Strasbourg from a different angle - perfect for those on a short time frame.

Chose a covered boat instead of an open one because we thought it would be hot with the sun beating down on us. Well.......the covered boat was not air conditioned as they claimed!!! It was like sitting in a hot house. The seats were plastic where the backs bent backwards when you leaned back, so you were in the person... More

Jumped on this boat trip, just because it was starting to rain, as it was a way to take shelter. Turned into a very interesting historic boat trip, you are provided with headphones and can select your own language. Takes you all the way up to the European Parliament building and back again.
