This is a very large reporduction of the statue that stands in New York Harbor. The statue sits in a roundabout at the north end of the city as you are heading north to the wine route or Strasbourg. The cool thing about this statue...More

We went for a day tour to Strasbourg and Colmar. Were travelling in a car and suddenly saw the Statue of Liberty in front. Surprised and enthralled to see it. The creator was from Colmar.

Nice to see a reminder of Frances gift to our country but in a much smaller stature. It is in a roundabout and quite a bit smaller.

Unfortunately I am yet to make NYC and see the real thing but I can now tick off both the smaller prototypes. I can think of a lot worse things to have in the middle of a busy roundabout on a major road

There is of course the main Statue in NYC. This is another prototype by the originator of the statue as one heads into the town of his birthplace. Btw...the third statue, another prototype is in Paris on a Bridge overlooking the Seine.

Two couples enjoying a two week vacation had heard of this Statue of Liberty. The couple from Nebraska had never seen the one in New York. They were extremely impressed and took lots of pictures.

Located in a busy roundabout on the outskirts of Colmar, you are only going to get a glance of this homage to Bartholdi and maybe a quick photo. You can go around several times if necessary.

Why else would you go to a specific round about? To see the statue de libertie! I wouldn't get out of the car to take a picture or anything because the round about is very busy. You can still snatch a good enough picture just...More
