- stephens473Nottingham, United Kingdom435 contributionsGreat VenueWhat a fantastic venue , great atmosphere from the various bars , restaurants etc . Very interesting exhibition in the adjoining gallery. Drinks were reasonably priced and plenty of indoor and out door seating. We went to see "Toxic" , what a great show ,the two performers were amazing , such a moving production. Q Park literally 2/3 minutes walk from the venue , plenty of restaurants all around the theatre. Great night out ,back there next week ! Highly recommended.Visited October 2023Traveled with friendsWritten October 29, 2023
- James PDes Plaines, Illinois15 contributionsAn exciting space.A huge space with a whole world of activity taking place. Home is a vibrant, bustling hub for all lovers of art, culture, food and more. After exploring the beautifully set out art exhibition, we head upstairs to the busy restaurant and despite having no reservation were promptly sat down. The staff were perfect, polite and professional yet relaxed and warm. Our order arrived in what felt like no time and the food was delicious, if just a little overpriced. I’ve probably spoiled myself (especially with burgers) but I have to be honest, while it was fantastic m, I’ve had better for the same money. Still, overall HOME is an exiting place, perfect for people of all ages and an essential day out in the city. Definitely recommended.Visited February 2024Traveled with friendsWritten February 17, 2024
- VanessaLytham St Anne's, United Kingdom4,286 contributionsGreat bar. Nice vibe to the area.Walking by and popped in for a drink. We sat outside and enjoyed the area, it has quite the vibe. There was big screens showing sport, deck chairs out, another couple of bars around and it was really busy. This place had a small van outside selling real ales, it was really nice. Worth seeking out if you're in the area.Visited June 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten June 18, 2024

This is a great place to see a film or theatre as it offers alternatives to the mainstream. However, the food at the restaurant - which used to be ok - was a long way from acceptable. It wasn't bad in a way that one could complain about (e.g. not burnt or undercooked or misleading) but the quality of the food was poor and it was quite tasteless. I had the butternut squash and spinach lasagne. It had a thick layer of melted cheese (not cheeses sauce) on top and the lasagne was sloppy and without any flavour or seasoning. Such a disappointment.
I don't know what has happened since last time I went (9 months or so) but I do hope it is sorted out as otherwise it is a great place to meet and eat before or after a film

Visited for a coffee as our favourite vegan cafe Vertigo was closed. Staff were very rude, we were cornered on entering as one of us didn’t have a mask, while several members of staff strolled around without. Staff at the bar looked like they couldn’t be bothered, zero customer service and an attitude. Will not return

I've been coming to HOME since it opened in 2015, and honestly have never had a negative experience there. The building in itself is beautiful, and very spacious inside with great facilities. Everywhere is always spotless, and the staff are fantastic (especially right now during the pandemic). There really isn't anywhere else where I could watch the films that I come here for, and the recurring film festivals have introduced me to all sorts of new things. The price for drinks and food is slightly high, but reasonable when you consider the relaxed and accepting atmosphere. I used to be a regular at the old Cornerhouse, and I think that HOME has managed to keep the same cool and interesting environment.

I've had many lovely dining experiences here and it's usually my 'go to' place to bring visiting friends. Sadly, I was badly let down this time. It was to be a special treat for my dear friend's 80th birthday, prior to our seeing a concert at the Bridgewater Hall starting at 7.0, advised to be there for 6.30, but we were not served until after 6.0, despite putting our order in by 5.20. Our order was missed. I appreciate this can happen, but the restaurant wasn't busy and surely someone should have noticed that others who arrived later had been served and we hadn't. I had to chase our order. I was told that the printer in the kitchen didn't work, but that made no sense if others' orders had got through. Our waiter was deeply apologetic and took full responsibility. Surely, restaurant staff work as a team?! Someone should have noticed. We were only charged for our drinks, for which I am grateful, and the food when it came was of the usual high standard. But being overlooked, and the delay it caused us, did overshadow things and meant we had to rush what should have been a relaxed dining experience. I will of course return, but insist on being served quickly if it's pre-show dining. Please ensure this never happens again to anyone. Thank you.

We came here for Sunday lunch. I had the buffalo wings to start and the Cajun chicken with chips for main both were very nice. My partner had the dough balls to start and the Boa burgers for main. The staff were great and very attentive they even knocked a round of drinks off because it came just after our starters.

Absolutely ridiculous that management are forcing card tips through this TIPJAR website, like they can't afford to cover a 2% bank charge for their staff if tips are paid normally. All this is going to do is reduce the amount of tips that staff are getting.
Don't put a statue of Marx outside your building if you can't look after your own workers.
Food and service excellent as ever - just bring cash to tip with!

We visited this restaurant on a short family city break to Manchester. We attended with a friend who attends frequently and is a big fan. We were really impressed with the quality of food, we thought it punched above its weight for the price. The Manchester Tart for dessert was particularly good. Staff were friendly, especially with my 5 year old and the kids menu was great. The decor and the feel of the restaurant were very special.

My flatmate and I live across the road from HOME, so were so pleased when it re-opened post-lockdown. We visited on Wed 16/09. We hadn't made a booking but were seated with no problem. There was plenty of COVID-related signage and precautions in place and the whole place felt very safe.
We were served by Emma who was super friendly and attentive, and we had a nice chat with her as we were ordering.
We ordered a pizza, some fried chicken, dips, and a bottle of red, followed by a cocktail, and just had a lovely evening. Can't wait to go back!

Hi Kerry. You can buy sweets and crisps (we don't have popcorn at the moment), from bars on the ground floor and by the cinemas. You can also take drinks from the bar into the cinemas.
