(This review is from when it was open) The Cornerhouse was exactly what it said in the name. People might have complained about he size but i think it added to the atmosphere of the place as it wasn't the place to show mainstream blockbusters. The bar was really nice as it overlooked Oxford Road and the cinema auditoriums were... More

This is a great place to sit by the window pick up a book and have a coffee. Very good coffees and pastry. Artwork on the upper floor is a bonus to go too every now and then!

It's great that the cinema is moving around the corner as it felt a little small and dated. The selection of films is good though. The cafe area is fine.

One of our favourite places in Manchester , just at the end of the approach to/from Oxford Road station. We pop in when we want to see foreign films, or films which have finished touring the main circuits. Coffee is excellent and cinemas are reasonably-priced and comfortable. Staff are invariably friendly. There is a small gift shop on site with... More

Looking for a wedding venue is very stressful getting married is expensive... Balls. Me and my wife got married at The Cornerhouse (yes they do weddings!) and we had the best day of our lives. The fellas there made it so easy for us, cannot recommend enough. I hope my next wedding will happen here. Oh they also show cool... More

I've been here on Valentine's Day to watch the featured movie of this day, "The Philadelphia Story". It was my first time here and i have to say that the prices and the cinema rooms make this place a great alternative to the modern cinemas. You won't watch the latest releases, but better than that you can catch up on... More

Quirky little cinema, you really feel like you've found something unique! Has recent big releases as well as smaller independent films on show. Love it.
