Really enjoy popping into this old pub on a Friday night for a couple of hours, beer is decent and its never to packed. Barmaids are really friendly and a good laugh. Used to go in here in the late 60s early 70s. Went back...More

This is a typical Manchester back street pub with attitude. It takes you back fifty years and the beer is of a very high standard. For Camera people it is a must go to place.

My review is solely regarding our room and stay, we didn't try the pub itself, and from what I could tell looked like a nice little pub. The room stay however was one of the worst I have experienced. You have to check in at...More

Thought we’d pop in for a pint after the City game as we have done before. Was greeted at the door by an elderly man (doorman? Landlord? Random nutcase?) who refused us entry. We were not drunk and this is a City-friendly pub. The old...More

Nice room, comfortable bed, good TV, good wifi. Utterly ruined by spotting a small furry friend spotted scuttling across the room 30 seconds before I VERY rapidly vacated the room in the morning.

My first time in here. Seen it down the street many a time when driving in Manchester City centre. A old style pub. Worth a visit.

We went in the afternoon on a Saturday. Nice little back street pub and a throwback to how it used to be. There appeared to have a good set of regulars and the prices were keen. Quite small but a chilled atmosphere just a couple...More

We paid £60 for a twin room. Was a decent place to put the head down for the night. Rooms basic but adequate. TV with plenty of channels. No wifi. Shared toilet on every floor and shower was good with plenty of hot water. Walls...More

A nice traditional pub, hidden away down a back street. It has a few real ales on that were well kept, but it was dead as a door nail even on a sunny Saturday afternoon.
