Very welcoming staff and a broad selection of beers, very Covid compliant and good central location.

Lost its Character of yesteryears
Mar 2020 • Solo
Average pub in Manchester that seems to be surviving on its past glories. Full of Manc’s trying too hard to be Mancunian and pretend Irish. Back in the day this was a great pub but now there are much better in this great city. Claims to be the best Guinness in town but it is far from it, try the City Arms to name but one if you want a great pint of the black stuff....

We booked this hotel due to its location. Fantastic modern clean room and continental breakfast, easy to book and great service from the manager who showed us to our rooms. Will definitely recommend and would stay again.

Manchester derby dropped in fortunately a reds pub.
Dec 2019
Brilliant atmosphere for the Manchester derby. Managed to get a seat and soaked up the continuous singing of united songs along with the celebrations of seeing city lose at home.

Tourist Trap Avoid
Sep 2019 • Friends
Visited pub with 2 friends after 1st day watching the cricket. I bought 3 drinks and was told the price was £14.10. I handed over my card to pay by contactless method but was not given a receipt. On checking I have been charged £30 (the maximum a retailer can put through using this method).

This is theft and I have alerted my credit card company.

No Stars - tourists beware this doesn't happen to you.

hugely popular, and justly popular. Just booze (accommodation upstairs) and all the better for it. A good few days.

Great Music
Aug 2019 • Couples
Stumbled upon this gem. The music was great, very authentic. Loved the county colours all around and the fact they had the Sunday game on in the background.

XXX Good Bar,Overpriced XXX
Jul 2019 • Friends
went here Saturday night to meet a few of my mates on a weekend away. Drink prices was a bit dearer than elsewhere ,But the major annoyance was we felt the Gin had been watered down, we were on drink and tonic and it was like drinking lemonade . These remarks are something that I don't make lightly. But I felt Cheated at £32 a round of 6.

The best Irish pub in town
Jul 2019
We hadn’t been there for ages but it felt we hadn’t been away. The place was rocking on a Saturday lunch with a singer on,everyone singing along in a friendly fun atmosphere. The Guinness was great and the 3 of us had a ball. It will not be as long before we return.
