This little church is tucked away but worth seeking out. I sat for about 20 minutes just experiencing the ambience and looking at the fantastically ornate decoration and artwork. Definitely worth the visit!!!!

Tucked away in the heart of Manchester, this little Roman Cathoilc church dates from 1794.There are decorative gargoyles and an interesting carved stonework arch above the door, mosaic tiles at the entrance...inside -old ornate traditional statue carvings as a backdrop to the altar, but astonishing wonderful modern artworks depicting the stations of the cross. Very much a " living" church,... More

I have visited this much loved church countless times and heard Mass there on many occasions. The Stations of the Cross are unique. Local artist Harold Riley's portrait of Our Lady of Manchester has pride of place in a dedicated shrine. This is a joy not to be missed and is particularly peaceful and so good for prayer and contemplation... More

Was walking around Manchester when I noted signage on 'Hidden Gem St Mary's Church'. Decided to find out more and I glad I did. It was at a quiet lane away from the busy city centre and the interior was stunning! It was really peaceful and a great place for some reflection.

This tiny church in the centre of Manchester is a haven of peace & quiet amid the noise & bustle of a big city. Hidden in Mulberry Street just off Albert Square, you must call in to just have a look at the awesome decor or just to say a little prayer. O

If you are a visitor this church is well worth a look in, however if you are a catholic and want to visit a more traditional place of worship, then this is the place to go. The quiet, peace and tranquility is wonderful, a perfect place to reflect. Mass Monday to Friday is at 12.30 .

This is a wonderful Church, hidden away in the back streets of Manchester. If you are a Catholic lunchtime mass is a must. If not, then a visit to a historical building is recommended
