Nice looking

Still has not lost its beauty , after a longtime I visited and found just the way I remembered. I think it needs little more care.

Beautifully kept gardens with a huge anount of glorious shrubs and trees plus wonderful flower beds. A very tranquil and peaceful wander through the gardens with paths all around and alongside the River Mersey. Various entrances and a lovely cafe which also serves delicious ice cream. Well worth visiting the gardens on a seasonal basis to see the changes in... More

Was raining when we went but still worthwhile to visit. Nature at its best. Wide open green space mostly not much flowers.

Easily accessible by either train or bus, kept clean of litter. Smells wonderful, flowers and plants of all sorts! Ponds full of life, lots of little insects and dragonflies, butterflies too! Paved gardens aren't the most accessible but my girlfriend has scoliosis and she was okay. Beautiful field and woodland walks which take you all around the park, with one... More

A beautiful place to walk around with woodland, river bank and gardens. Cafe could do to sell a better range of hot snacks. Toilets need to be open all the time.

Decided to visit the gardens upon recommendation with a visitor to England. A bit of a let down, just felt like a field and a path in parts and a well kept garden in others. Turned back to the car after about 20 mins

I really needed some outside time and this was perfect. The weather was lovely and just sat for a long time meeting dogs and their friends. I finally did some walking and finished with a nice cup of tea at the café.

Lovely park and gardens good for a walk short or long or a game of tennis. The cafe is worth a visit for a cake or ice cream after a long walk. My son loves the hilly paths in the rock garden and waterfalls and the nature areas in the woodlands and bird feeding areas. You can walk from the... More

Although having lived nearby for years, we first visited the park for the open air theatre production of Oscar Wilde, provided by Heartbreak Productions. A fantastic way to make use of gorgeous surroundings!
