Not only is a railway and tram station but it has Victorian architecture with a modern update. The tea room/bar with ornate ceiling is well worth a look

Nice buiding but was very cold and a lot of homeless and beggers around. Couple of places at the bottom a bar and a starbucks but that's about it.

As it's name suggests, this one of the two Manchester main stations was built in the Victorian era and named after the then Queen. Manchester used to have four main line train stations but now has Victoria and Piccadilly only, but Victoria has the most interesting building of the two. Recently refurbished, it's also maintained its heritage and some of... More

I had to tak the train there on my way to North Yorkshire and I was disappointed. Whereas in other stations you find facilities to help you while you wait for your train, there's noting of the kind there. The building itself is beautiful though.

Pass through the train station most weekdays. They have just re-vamped the train station and what a good job they have done. Well worth a visit

I remember this station from the early 1970's, all I can recall is it being very dark and foreboding. The improvements have greatly changed this with the new glass roof letting in lots of light and making the whole place appear bright and airy. Many of the original features have been kept in place which is nice to see, I... More

Caught the train to Liverpool from here. They have had a big makeover since I was here last. Lovely old ticket office and staff very helpful. Amazing old tiled building. Worth a look around if you are close by.

Improvement work was completed this year to modernize the station. It is a big improvement with new glass roof letting in lots of light. The shabbiness has gone but some if the original features have been retained. One of the things I like is near the exit/entrance, commemorating servicemen who passed through the station door on their way to fight... More
