The old meets the new

You can see a lot of history on that place. And the new ceiling makes it modern as Manchester needs to be

We arrived in Manchester from Birmingham by train. The Manchester train station is centrally located and offers a variety of shops and restaurants.

Clean and spacious, Victoria station has been transformed. The only thing that should be improved is the choice of shops/cafes inside the station.

Victoria Station has been transformed. The recent renovation has made the station clean, modern and a nice place to pass through. Station bar prices are a bit excessive and could do with rectifying but again nice comfy place to sit whilst waiting for a train

Last Sunday we decided to go shopping in Manchester city centre, but when I pulled up at an NCP car park I could not believe the parking prices, unless you went in before 9 am, by chance I drove just a little way down the road and came across the train station and the parking was just £4 for 12... A great place to meet or just connect via train/tram. Row of taxis help the process. Mini shuttles also connect here with Piccadilly, so your options are many.

This has had an enormous amount of money spent on refurbishment. Unfortunately the cash appears to have been spent on the transport infrastructure and little on the facilities like for example Grand Central in Birmingham. They could not even clean the impressive Victorian façade. Still sadly, a dump of a place.

I love Manchester Victoria, I have many happy memories of meeting friends in the refreshment rooms, I was quite worried about it being'done up' but it's a great job. It was dark previously a bit bleak despite the glorious original features but now it is light, modern AND has kept the Victorian tiles, the porcelain map, the old oak ticket... More

This station has gone through a massive refurbishment; with great modern construction encumbering the original station without clashing styles. BUT they have not incorporated a passenger drop off point for private transport, public transport is excellent within and outside the station. The station approach is for taxis and buses (which is covered by CCTV) and fines are issued if you... More

Victoria station is one of several railway stations in Manchester. There is not much you can say apart from, it's clean and efficient and the staff are helpful. The current modernisation is making a vast improvement to passenger facilities.
