Big change.

The station is looking good following a large investment in a large scale refurbishing. Decent coffee served in a couple of venues.

Manchester Victoria is Manchester's 2nd station. There are trains to Liverpool and over the Pennines as well as north of Manchester. In addition to trains there are also plenty of trams running frequently to different parts of the city. They have completed a refurbishment of the station which sees ancient and modern come together from an architectural perspective. There's a... More

It's a busy environment there could be more choice of shops. Easy to navigate, signs are clear. Staff were helpful

This is the first building in the United Kingdom to have been named after a person, that person being Queen Victoria. A beautiful piece of history with plenty of places to enjoy a quick cup of coffee or tea.

Manchester's Victoria Station is a typical busy English railway station, bustling and not particularly inspirational. It is more functional than aesthetic.

Only used this station due to no direct train to Manchester airport. On a Sunday there were only a few shops, cafes open and not alot to choose from compared to Piccadilly. It is also a very cold station but very close to the center.

This station lacks shops, having only coffee shops and a W H Smith although the place itself does have some old characteristics left which are lovely to see. Above the Starbucks coffee shop you can see the old tiled signs for the 1st class lounge and over the information desk is the tiled sign for the bookseller. The old ticket... More

Travelled to Glasgow on Sunday 5th November from here. Only 3 places opened for food. WH Smith was closed until 11.30, so nothing to read for the journey. It's a cold station, and feels a bit like a wind tunnel. Not a patch on Piccadilly.

Centre of the city. Easy to navigate, frequent trains to Leeds every half hour or so. Prices vary but if you buy possibly a week before travelling will be a lot cheaper I believe online.
