Not recommended for a gig if you are going in a wheelchair with a carer as there is a total lack of understanding and empathy by the onsite staff. Tickets booked for seated access. Told that the carer was not allowed seats and the carer had to stand!

I had no idea where this was! Once located it is a hidden gem and a perfect place for an intimate concert venue.
Decent food and drink options and the view of the stage is good. We sat on the steps at the back and had a great view of Snow Patrol.

Came here during the Sounds of the City event. Fantastic venue for music events. I would imagine if the weather isn't great it's not as good, but on a sunny day it was excellent. Good facilities provided and lots of helpful staff on site who managed the event well. Would definitely visit again.

How can a festival still get away with using single plastic none recyclable. There were no attempts at encouraging recycling. I'd hate to think of how much waste was generated by this event.

This area was developed in the 80s progressing through the 90s. It is at the confluence of canals previously serving industrial Manchester. Now used by social narrow boat users. The bowl occasionally has outdoor events which are atmospheric although parking close by is sparse although there are parking areas a few hundred metres away

We went to see Tom grenan we hadn’t been before the venue was lovely my only concern and frustration was that when everyone was in it was near impossible to get over to the food places as there wasn’t a designated walkway

The Saw Doctors brilliant. Price of drinks absolutely extortionate. Need to sort it out. £6 for a small morreti in a can. Terrible.

Saw the Kaiser Chiefs here ... fabulous venue, especially when it gets dark. Very atmospheric and loved seeing the trams go past.

Hi. I’m going with my 11-year old son (who is beside himself with excitement) to see Porcupine Tree at Castlefield Bowl in a little under two weeks. He’s not very tall and I imagine the vast majority of people attending will be adults, so my concern is ensuring he will be able to see the stage. I gather the rear of the venue (where it’s covered) is tiered/stepped and rises above the crowd down in front of the stage. Would that be the best spot for us? If so, do we need to get there early? Also, I’m thinking toilets - I’m going to have to go with him whenever either of us need to go - I suppose we could easily lose our spot so it will be important to be near(ish) to the toilets so we don’t have to fight our way through lots of fans in a hurry to get back so that we hopefully won’t lose our spot (naturally, we’ll try to build up a rapport with some of those around us so that we can ask them nicely to keep our spot for us). Are there toilets at the rear, and if so, which side would be best. Any other tips would be very welcome, particularly around being there with a child. Thanks in advance.

What are the bag requirements ? Is it small bags only or would I be okay taking my backpack?

We are driving to Castlefield Bowl to see Pulp. Where would be the best places to park? Presume there are multi-storey car parks near by? Any tips or info gratefully received.
