The Manchester Museum is home to an array of treasures from the natural world and the many cultures it is home to. Highlights include a T.rex and fossils of other pre-historic creatures, ancient Egyptian artefacts and live amphibians and reptiles. You can handle objects from the collection, take part in hands-on activities or enjoy a glass of wine of cup of coffee whilst exploring the latest ideas in science, culture and the arts.

The British Museum in miniature! Definitely my favourite museum in a town. great variety of exposition, but not too big to make you overwhelmed.

Quite far out of the main town and very small for a museum. The content was interesting and worth a look but you soon get round. Checked out the cafe which was pretty poor staffing wise and overpriced.

A 20 minute walk from the city centre, but well worth the effort. This Museum provides a good all round education in one building. The ancient world galleries mainly feature Egyptian artefacts, but there is some local archaeology and a ethnology gallery. The natural history...More

Hi, it's probably about a 10min walk from your hotel depending on how quick you walk or if you wanted you can get a magic bus (big blue one) that'll take you straight there in a few mins. Hope that helps. :0)
