Used the station on 9th December whilst visiting the Christmas Markets. Much improved from when I was attending school in Manchester. Very clean, friendly staff and excellent notice boards to keep you informed. Concessions are overpriced but that is the price you pay for convenience...More

Great service from Grazynka. I hope that is spelt correctly. Busy bar and restaurant but made to feel very welcome at this busy time of the year. Hats off to the team. Really enjoyed the vibe. Credit to the team Al

Very busy and massive queue for taxi’s. Metro link and trains all here. Bit chaotic. The First Class lounge is handy to sit in while you wait.

We found this station to be very busy and very large, some of the staff were helpfull and others didn't seem bothered.

My sister was travelling to Bolton from Stockport at 16.15 on 27th November. We waved her off at Stockport station and found that she had left her handbag (phone, ticket, housekeys, money) in the waiting room. A Virgin trains operatve made a call as our...More

Went to Piccadilly from Newton in the rush hour. Carriage was busy but still found a seat. When we arrived it was very busy and in a lot of ways reminded me of Euston station. The facilities are excellent and you can find everything you...More

What an anticlimax! The lounge is supposed to be a free perk of travelling first class on a virgin train. However, it was far from a perk. The place was filthy, it looked like the cleaners had been on strike since the opening of the...More

Really like this station. Clean with plenty of shops and eateries. Clear departure boards and information. Prefer this to Euston at the other end of the line.

Manchester Piccadilly to Wythenshawe (7 Replies)
Hi, I don't know Manchester & am visiting my cousin in Wythenshawe. Can you tell me how to get from Manchester Piccadilly station to Wythenshawe by public transport? It will just save her a drive to pick me up. I've looked at bus routes on line & the system seems rather complicated . Thanks!!

Stay - Newcastle to Cardiff (6 Replies)
Hello, I'm looking for suggestions on a stay in Manchester. I'm traveling on Oct 10 leaving NewCastle at 21:55 and have a stay over at Manchester Piccadilly station from 12:30 until 8:00 that morning for Cardiff. Do folks just stay at the station for 8 hours?? Or is there someplace close which I can get to for a couple hours. Or what other options do I have Thanks Clinton

This is a bit confusing. As I understand it, you want to go from Newcastle to Cardiff but are planning on leaving Newcastle too late to actually make it to Cardiff? "Do folks just stay at the station for 8 hours??" No, 'folks' wouldn't do this, they'd catch a train which got them to where they were going the same day. "Or is there someplace close which I can get to for a couple hours" There are plenty of nearby hotels. "Or what other options do I have" * Catch a train on the...More

No. Assuming you are getting the train down to London just get one when you get to Euston station.
