These places are undiscovered by big bus tours and the majority of other small Cotswold tour providers If you're a solo traveller, a couple or a small group of up to eight people, we have a private Cotswold tour just for you. Itineraries are flexible and can be adjusted on the day to suit your preference. All guides are local and live in the Cotswolds. They will show you their favourite places and advise on places you'd like to go. We can also book accommodation and arrange transport to and from the Cotswolds 'Kooky' means 'strange in an interesting way'. Once you're here in the Cotswolds you'll see why.

Steve was a delightful man who was very knowledgeable about the area. He provided a great introduction of cotswold that was sorely needed by the both of us. He was helpful and nice. He was also very punctual and polite. A delight to have met him. Would definitely go on another tour with this company the next time I'm here again!

Lee was a fabulous tour guide with thorough knowledge of the area. We took the train from Paddington and he met us at the Oxford train station. From there he showed us both new and old Oxford. We then headed to Burford for a little shopping, walking and a delicious lunch at a small pub (Lee’s recommendation.) Then a drive through the countryside, lower and upper Slaughter, with some stops at the Mill store and trout farm. Lee was very accommodating to our fitness level (or lack thereof) and tailored our tour accordingly. Highly recommend - a perfect day!

When my girlfriend’s family came from South America to stay they already knew London well from numerous previous visits. They wanted to sample a more tranquil side of England, they demanded charming little villages, glorious greenery, rolling hills and altogether more relaxing scenery. My partner suggested the Cotswolds and then a work colleague recommended Kooky Tours and it turned out to be the perfect combination! From start to finish the trip was easygoing, smooth and relaxing. Our guide Huw picked us up from our place in North London and was so friendly, accommodating and knowledgable in every aspect. The kids can be a handful on long journeys but rather than merely placating them, Huw managed to engage them fully by making them feel that they were helping to set the agenda for the whole trip. The demands for ancient churches, ornate gardens and stunning countryside were met in full and made all the better by our guide’s endless good humour and an intriguing mixture of factual accounts for everyone and tongue in cheek stories to keep the kids entertained. We returned safely to London completely satisfied that we had enjoyed a genuine break from the city. I thoroughly recommend Kooky Cotswold Tours to anyone else who fancy’s exploring this beautiful part of the world.

We booked a two day tour to visit a selection of villages in the upper Cotswold area Day one was with Lee and day two with one of the other tour guides. Day one was outstanding. Day two enjoyable. Both days we took in a range of villages that exactly met the brief of exploring the Cotswolds and visiting the popular villages as well as less well known locations. The tour was perfectly organised and in each stop we were given an overview, accompanied to some of the village highlights (often the town church with really interesting commentary) and then given free time to explore. Lee in particular is an outstanding guide and we found ourselves always listening intently to what he had to say and it was always meaningful commenatry, presented in an interesting and engaging way with great humour and also he shared some of his own life experiences which was also really interesting ... the only slight disappointment was not to also have Lee as our guide for day two. You can book Kooky Tours with complete confidence and know they will make your time in the Cotswolds very memorable and enjoyable and that they run a really professional but personal and friendly tour

Great contact from start to finish, very informative and funny. My family can be a bit picky and awkward but Lee kept everyone happy and managed the group dynamic well. There was something for everyone throughout the day. The Cotswolds is a beautiful place but I really don't think I would have enjoyed it as much if it weren't for Lee and the way he conducted the tour. I'd be happy for him to show me around the mall where I live.
