Beautiful Church which was made even more special by the lady volunteer who brought St James' to life with her kindness and friendly nature. Def worth a visit if in CC.

Regrettably the church was not open when I went to visit, but you can still admire its imposing bell tower and beauty of the building

As we had a few hours to kill, we decided to wonder into St James.
Wow! What a fabulous church it is!
From the outside, which is immaculate, it just makes you want to open the doors and walk in!
The interior is wonderful, unbelievable architecture, and so well maintained, it has to be a credit to Chipping Campden.

We visited this church on our morning trip to Chipping Campden. It is quite imposing and also impressive from the outside, but unfortunately it was locked so we did not get to see the apparently very decorative interior - maybe on our next trip.

They were having bell ringing practice during our visit and what a delightful experience that was! This is a beautiful old church but appears to have a very active congregation.

Well worth a look - all the history of this very old church well preserved and presented. Have a wander around the grounds and the cemetery out the back - the ages of the graves is incredible

Really beautiful church, interesting conversation with one of the female volunteers who shared some the history of the church and associated local knowledge.
