If you want to see the best exhibition of Arts and Crafts then visit the museum in Cheltenham. .and it's free. As for this one...not worth it.

This is a small but detailed history of the group of artists and craftsmen and women who were attracted to Chipping Camden at the end of the C19th and the early part of the C20th. The displays are fully explained and there are some superb examples of original work. Well worth an hour and a half of intense study!

Last minute choice to visit, glad we did. Only small but well worth it to find out about the Craft and Design movement operating in the last century. Staff were all friendly and knowledgeable. Fascinating info. on Robert Welch, who have a shop in town.

If you are in Chipping Camden do not miss this wonderful museum. It features not only the Arts and Crafts movement but also the history of the village. Lots of information presented in traditional fashion as well as high-tech presentations on screen. A very good little shop sells interesting items. We strongly recommend a visit.

Some lovely displays very well presented. Knowledgeable staff we really enjoyed the silver and jewellery. There are some lovely items to buy including a good selection of books. Chipping Camden is a beautiful Cotswold town one of our favourites.

History of local artists and why they set up around this area. Beautiful pieces highlighting the skills and well worth a visit. CR Ashbee, Gordon Russell, Hart Silversmiths and Robert Welch have work displayed here. The jewellery work by Ashbee is stunning. Small museum next to beautiful church - which is worth visiting.

A local man recommended this museum to us and we went there about mid morning. Parked on the road and went into the museum, quite quiet really so no queuing. Nice place and nice to know about about the local history.

Only a short walk from the beautiful Cotswold High Street of Chipping Campden. The town itself is well worth visiting, particularly on a nice day. There are few towns more beautiful for a stroll. If you stroll a little way off the High Street you will find this Museum. I first saw this on a Google virtual tour. Fantastic displays... More

Showcasing several local historical artists from silversmiths to book binders. Beautiful examples of work along with information supporting the artist. Small shop selling guides etc. Close to shops on high street & St James Church. Not overly expensive. Occasional exhibitions too.

A beautiful location for a fascinating museum, showing craft & design work of makers both in & near Chipping Campden since the beginning of the twentieth century. This area of the Cotswolds became a haven for talented designers & crafts people, and continues to champion excellence. The main displays provide information about local book binding, potters, furniture makers, silver smiths... More
