Free carpark and super views on a fine day. You can follow the footpath markers to do a 5 mile walk passing through Chipping Campden (stop for lunch, there are lots of cafes) and back to Dovers Hill. It's a nice circular walk taking about 3 hours

Do this. Glorious 90 minute walk. Flowers, sheep, hedgerows, great view of Chipping Campden rooftops

Glorious 90 minute walk. Flowers, sheep, hedgerows, great view of town rooftops from top.
Go early morning preferably on a weekday. Park on side streets if lucky or pay for 2 hours next to the Market Hall . Walk down high street to west, Start walk at corner/end of High Street and Hoo Lane. Walk uphill along sidewalk of Hoo Lane past beautiful house gardens. The road turns into gravel path to and through a 200 head sheep farm . As you go up you finally pass through fallow plowed fields on the left. On rural but busy Kingcombe Lane make sharp left for about 100 yards along the gravel verge. Best view of the whole walk of Chipping Campden is from a gap in trees along this road. Then carefully cross road along remaining path to the top. From top Nice view through tree gaps of fields and greenhouses to the North for miles but not as good view of Chipping Campden from the top.

Free car park and a lovely long walk through fields and woods. Some nice uphill slopes and steps to add to the exercise and scenic views along the way. There are sheep loose in the fields but they don’t hang around long once they see you.
Walking boots recommended, especially on a muddy day like when we visited.
There are marked routes to follow or you can use an app like AllTrails to follow public footpaths.

We walked 15 minutes or so out of Chipping Camden along the marked and well kept Cotswold Way. Beautiful flora and fauna to see along the way & the far reaching views got better and better. Would love to have seen a coffee or icecream van at the top though!

Nice view and walk but the r e was to many dog faeces so we left rather quickly.
In one hour I counted over 30 dog poos. Sheep droppings are fine but I don't want to have to avoid dog poo!

I’ve lived in Worcestershire most of my life and never been to this gem 💎 of a place. We went to hidcote national trust and it was on the board on our way out. We were looking for a spot for our picnic 🧺 on an April day.
Small free car park. No toilet 🚻 facilities though. Beautiful views and part of the Cotswold Way.

Lovely view from Dover's Hill. Site of Robt Dover's Olympick Games. We visited whilst walking the Cotswold Way. On a clear day you can see Wales.

It is a short walk from Chipping Campden but you can make it longer. It’s more difficult with a lot of climbing as well as steps but it’s gratifying. The views at the top make it worthwhile.

This is the first thing we did on our visit to Chipping Camden. A nice easy walk to get the day started. Good views from Dover Hill. Easy access to and from town.

If you cannot be bothered to walk up part of The Cotswold way to Dover's Hill there is a carpark up there. Certainly worth a visit as the views are wonderful & far-reaching. You can walk down the hill into a wood at the bottom - great in Bluebell season.

How long would it take to walk from Market Square in Chipping Campden ?
Written January 17, 2019
There are two similar routes up the hill from the Market Square. They start off the same and if you go straight up its pretty steep and take around 20 mins and some puff. The other route, you bear left into Littleworth. After 2nd house on right there is a public footpath. Follow this up and round to the left and then continue between two houses the path leads you up to fields. This route is slightly easier to walk but was quite muddy when we crossed it! Enjoy the walk - great views from the top.

Hi, Andrew. What would you like to know about this attraction?
Is there a café at this location
Written July 27, 2018
No, but the town of Chipping Camden, which has some nice restaurants and pubs, is a three minute drive/10 minute bike ride away.
