This shopping centre in Doncaster is great to have a look around it has a good range of shops such as some big brands like Starbucks, TK Maxx , H&M , Costa , Top shop and Top man to name a few. Also it has good access to Doncaster bus station and the train station which is good. I would recommend that you should try this shopping centre in Doncaster.

We found this shopping centre clean, well set out and spacious.
A great selection of shops. Everyone we interacted with were polite and welcoming.
The toilets were clean and well maintained.
We arrived by bus and left by train. Both stations part of the shopping centre and easily accessible.

The Frenchgate centre has been getting worse over time as more shops close. Shockingly as it happens, they keep raising the parking prices! There’s no wonder Doncaster town centre is failing, I know most people would prefer to go and park for free at Meadowhall where the shops remain and the parking is free.

Such a shame!

More intelligent security guards. Products in shops poor quality. It's ok to have a few cheap and cheerful shops but let's have a bit of quality, that doesn't mean having high prices for garbage.i could Go on but on a last note ,OPEN The TOILETS ON TIME

What a shocking experience in today's world of equality to be labeled and stereotyped by staff at the Pandora shop at Frenchgate centre Doncaster.
Here if you go shopping make sure you Are wearing suit full make up and And wearing your bank balance where it is visibly on show otherwise staff treat you with disrespect and disdain.
Please don't try to complain even nicely as you will just get a corporate speech and told to shop elsewhere if you don't lkke it. In this day and age shame on you Pandora staff !!!! You have failed both customer service and equality courses in how to treat your customers. Won't be shopping in that shop again. Steer clear tgere are plenty of shops that are happy to serve you with a smile and be as helpful as they can. Avoid this shop if that is the custom you wish to experience.

I've parked twice (and been caught out both times) in the Frenchgate Shopping Centre (for Rail) by following signs 'Parking for Rail Users' and parked obviously were other rail users are parked. On leaving I was charged £25 for 24 hours instead of the £12.50. The signage and floor markings clearly direct you to the two lanes/barriers for Rail users. My suspicions were aroused when the machine gave me a 'short stay' ticket.
My opinion is it's a simple rip off or maybe just an 'oversight' by the lovely company responsible for setting the tariffs.

Good Afternoon, Thank you for taking the time to get in touch with us today. Firstly let me apologize if you feel you have had a negative experience within our centre and/or car park, this is something we always aim to avoid. In order to address your issue raised, I feel I need to clarify the difference between the two car parks. The shopper's car park is the only car park run and maintained by Frenchgate. The "Rail" car park is owned by Virgin Rail and subsequent tariffs and signage is set by them (within their parking level - level 6). If somebody parks within a shopper space they will be charged the shopper or "Short Stay" ticket as this is Frenchgate's car park, not Virgins. As both the car parks are on top of each other (Shopper Level 1 - 5, Rail Level 6), we have also added signage on the exit of our car park onto the lift lobbies. The signage reads "Notice To Rail Users... Please ensure your vehicle is parked in the correct area when travelling by rail. Rail rates do not apply when parking the Frenchgate Shopping Centre parking area". I understand the above doesn't rectify your issue moving forward so i can offer you the following advice to avoid this happening in the future and hopefully ensure any further confusion is alleviated. - Frenchgate has a dedicated car park team on hand, if at any time you need assistance with parking, want to check where you have parked or have an issue regarding the car park, simply look for one of the team who will be happy to help you. - If you feel you have been issued the wrong ticket e.g. "short stay" highlight this to us prior to leaving the car park and we can happily direct you to the correct car park before your journey. - If upon return you feel the tariff charged isn't correct, raise this with a member of the car parking team, our guest services team or via the "help" button at all Pay on Foot machines prior to paying. Again, thank you for taking the time to get in touch and again let me assure you as with everything at Frenchgate, we always aim to ensure a positive experience for anyone and everyone who visits our centre and/or uses its facilities. Thank you and have a great day. Matt Owen

A typical in town shopping centre. You could be anywhere. Closes far to early on Friday evening, by 5:30pm nothing other than the Sainsbury's supermarket was open. Walking from the railway station we past through a food court that was total deserted, what a waste.

At approx 13:30 on the 22/08/21 at Frenchgate customer service toilet facilities, I needed to change my 2 year old sons nappy as he did a poo! I was carrying him in my arms whilst heading towards the facilities. Once I arrived at the baby changing room/disability doors, all 5 x doors were locked. I noticed there was a number to ring on the doors but I thought this was very poor from a customer service point of view. I then checked the normal gents toilets (which were open) for any baby changing facilities, no facilities were there. At this point, I felt myself and my 2 year old son was getting discriminated. I was annoyed and angry. I started looking for staff but no staff was around. I had no choice to change my 2 year old son on a dirty floor in front of the public. At this point I felt the company put my child in danger as other people was looking and these people could be on the sex offender register. Once dealt with, their was no facility for the waste bag. Again, very poor customer service. I then rang the number what was showing on the doors and complained. No sympathy at all. Below are questions to be answered.

1. Why were the doors locked?
2. Where were staff?
3. If I rang the number beforehand, how long would I be waiting for?
4. I might of not had a phone on me?
5. I might of not had any credit on my phone?
6. I might a had a poor signal to ring?
7. Why don’t you have bins outside the toilets?
8. Why don’t you have the facilities in the Gents?
9. Do you have a problem with parents, babies and disability people?
10. Do you care?

I live in doncaster and am a regular visitor to the frenchgate centre, up until the coronavirus outbreak. Last week I felt that it was time to venture into doncaster as we are all advised to wear face coverings indoor which includes the centre. I was therefore surprised to see plenty of people without any face coverings, and even walking passed the security not being challenged by them. This made me feel very uneasy and therefore I don’t think I will be visiting again until things improve.
