2 car parks and a cafe, two play areas for children as well as a large lake with ducks, geese and swans. Super place to bring the children in a nice day and have a picnic. Lots of benches and grassy areas suitable for a picnic.

The park is a lovely place to visit. I had no idea until recently that most of the maintenance (including cleaning and stocking the toilets) is done by volunteers. Some of whom are pretty much full time. Amazing work. I've walked and run in the park. The park run is great. I've also been to events (music in the park).... More

Sandal park takes me back to when my children were small, when the boats were there, this park needs to bring them back, you can have lovely picnics here.

A lovely park with plenty of space to walk the dog away from the lake as mine would want to chase the birds. A lovely cheap no frills cafe where you can get a substantial meal or a snack at a very reasonable price. The full English is a must go a Sunday morning

always went to this park as child and always loved going there. Now I take my son there when we are visiting. The café in the park is a million times better than in my day. Very clean and well maintained

We visited here with the grandchildren and were very impressed. The park was very quiet and tranquil. The children loved the new play area and there was also a café in the park serving good food. A great park to take a relaxing stroll or for families. We will visit here again.

Decided to go for a walk around the park....wow not been for a while so there's been quite a few changes. New kids play area close to the toilets and café so a lot better for families. Flowers look beautiful and overall the park seems be a lot better looked after. Lots more seating and picnic area...lovely afternoon out

I have been visiting the park for over 60 years. It is an island of tranquillity just outside the town. The star attraction is the little cafe. Wonderful, plentiful, inexpensive traditional food.
