Sandall Park is probably the best park for miles around, it has a good sized lake that has a walk way all round it, with occasional coppices to give it some character. There are large flat grass sections for games and 2 main children's play areas. The park also has on site parking and a cafe.

Nice play area for kids. Lake used for fishing and could do with a good clean out in some parts. Plenty of water birds . Good walk if you do a few circuits! Worth a visit.

Haven't been here since we used to go rowing on the "boating lake" as kids. What a dump ! The paths are difficult to walk on. They are covered in animal droppings, and the whole place stinks! Will not be going back again !

Having never been to the park before I had no idea what to expect. However, upon arrival the surroundings were beautiful with a view of the lake in front of you and ample green grass to sit around and relax. We took our BBQ to cook lunch and plenty of ball games for the children. A fabulous day was had... More

Today we visited the park for the first time. There were 9 of us ranging from 84yrs to 5weeks old. We stayed at the park for about 4 hours. The children fed the ducks and played having a brilliant time. We brought our camping BBQ and cooked lunch while there. Anything we needed was there, lovely toilets and café if... More

I used to go to Sandall Park a lot when I was little and took my little boy and an old friend recently. It was simply lovely what super place, run by volunteers and free. open spaces, play areas, ponds to walk round. It is the prefect place for a Sunday stroll or a mid week play at the park.... More

Don't judge this place by its external appearance. Inside it is clean and comfortable. The food is hot and tasty. Great value for money.

Sandal Park not quite as good as in the late eighty and early ninth. Such a shame because of so many ducks and swans the grass areas always covered with their mess. And the water area can do with good cleaning.

Always a lovely place to visit as a family we go often to walk the dog and have a ice cream. But I have fished the pond many times over the years but upon my last visit the bailiff told me that you can only night fish if you was part of the syndicate. So I asked how do I... More
